Meet the Author

Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

Her romantic women's fiction novels include a variety of themes from international settings dealing with wealthy millionaires, family feuds and tropical beaches, to the relationships between family and friends in small town Texas, and to sisterhood and friendship in the award winning novel The Champagne Sisterhood

Currently working on the contemporary romance Aloha Series, Chris Keniston is enjoying playing with her former military heroes. Using popular themes of small towns and sandy beaches blended with stories of the single dad, survivors guilt, and soon an accidental wedding is making the Aloha Series a reader's choice.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Author of five contemporary novels, including a finalist for the prestigious Golden Heart Award, Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Boy meets girl, then doesn┬┐t pay attention to her until two year

Boy meets girl, then doesn’t pay attention to her until two years later when she literally falls into his arms. What happens next is not your traditional romance story. “Almost Paradise” is a story about challenges and possibilities all tied up in a surprise romance between two people with different ideas of what their future should look like. Just when you think you have the characters figured out, there’s a plot twist and turn that will have you scratching your head. Add a ‘tour’ of Kona that will make you want to go the Paradise and check out the sights yourself and you have a book you will not want to put down until it’s finished and then you’ll pick it up and read it again!

Chris has written a wonderful second story to her Aloha series. The first, “Aloha Texas” introduced us to Nick, Kara and Bradley. Now home in paradise (Hawaii) we meet his partner Billy and her friend Angela, plus the rest of the staff at Big Island Dive Shop, assorted friends and family. “Almost Paradise” will have you dreaming of warm Hawaiian days and romantic Hawaiian nights.
