    Highly Recommended

This was one of my favorite books. Because of this one I bought the rest of the series. They are all good but this one remains my favorite.

    Loved This Book

Until recently I haven't read a lot of Stormy Glenn books because the first couple I read seemed to have one alpha male character and the other male character seemed to me to have originally been written for a woman and the gender was just changed to accommodate to make an m/m storyline. If this book is any indication, those days are long gone. This is a wonderful book with three strong alpha characters who become mates. There isn't anything weak or feminine about any of the main characters and I absolutely loved them and their story. <spoiler>I really liked that Caleb was hurt and angry when Grayson mates with Joel right after mating with him. [Really who wouldn't be ticked off if you gave up your alpha status and merged packs just so you can be with the person you love and as soon as he mates with you, he turns around and mates with someone else as well...if he wasn't upset, I would be worried about him!</spoiler> I liked the interactions between Grayson and Caleb before meeting Joel and then how they all interacted once they got together. And I liked that the relationships between Joel and Caleb and Joel and Grayson were pretty open ended since Joel was under no obligation to submit to anyone and Caleb only agreed to submit to Grayson. Only two things bugged me in this book <spoiler>[1)after Joel is kidnapped Grayson and Caleb take time out to have a quickie (and so does Joel's son and his mate) before trying to find Joel. They didn't know whether his life was in immediate jeopardy or not so I'm not sure how they could justify not pushing faster to find him. 2)Same thing when Caleb and Joel leave Grayson, his son and his son's mate alone with the bad guys and have an impromptu mating. They let Grayson and company stress out about what is taking so long and they don't seem very concerned that more bad guys might be raiding the house while they did the deed. </spoiler> Even though this is an erotic novel so I expected it to be hot, those two things just didn't ring true to me. However, the characters and story were good enough that those two scene flaws didn't stop my enjoyment of the book at all. Definitely a good read. I will be checking out the rest of this series (this is the first of the True Blood Mate books I've read)
