Overview

Life has been crazy since Tessa McCaide moved to Texas. She’s gone from being a normal-ish girl with visions to a super-powered werewolf. She’s fought off vampires and broken a nearly unbreakable curse. And she’s got a hot mate, Dastien Laurent, to keep her busy.
Things are looking up until the full moon ceremony rolls around. Before Tessa can strengthen her bond with Dastien, the local coven crashes the gates, demanding that Tessa—their heir apparent—be returned. If the pack wants to avoid a war with the witches, handing Tessa over is the only option.
Tessa doesn’t want to cause an all-out fight, but joining a dark-magic coven isn’t on her to-do list, especially if embracing her magic side means parting with Dastien. When the coven leader tries to control Tessa with dark-magic, Tessa realizes she has to dismantle the coven or prepare the pack for war. Either choice will change her life—and her world—forever.

Tessa is spunky, selfless and affectionate. Then there is Dastien!!! Gah! So sexy ans sweet!

I don't want to give spoilers since this book was excellent, but I really enjoyed the direction the author went with this book. I can only hope there is another one out soon!!!

Overall, this book gets five glittery stars for being amazing! i would highly recommend this series :)

Tessa McCaide and her mate, Dastien Laurent, are planning on strengthening their bond at the full moon ceremony. However, the witches interfere and the ceremony stopped.  Now Tessa needs to try to prevent a wolf-witch war.

Alpha Divided is an exciting and fast paced book that I could not put down.

Tessa is amazing.  She has gone through so many changes in such a short amount of time. She is strong and clever.  She is a character you want to see succeed.  She is still learning about the supernatural world and how to maneuver through it.  I admire her for making the sacrifice to live with the witches.  She discovers more about her heritage and its inner workings.

My heart broke for Tessa and Dastien when they had to be separated.  The agony of what they had to endure was frustrating, evil witches.

The plot of Alpha Divided was original and intriguing.  You never knew what to expect or who you could really trust.  The story was well-written and mysterious.  I really enjoy this series and look forward to future books.

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Now that the official part is done...

Three books in, the Alpha series is consistently awesome. This is EXACTLY the kind of paranormal romance I would recommend to my teen - Tessa is a very strong female character, and Aileen Erin is spot-on with the emotions and dialogue of this age.

I am hooked, and cannot wait for the two 2015 installments to this series!

This is the third in the series and I loved the first two so I was very excited about this book. I thought that it might be a trilogy, but at the end of this book you do find out that there will be a fourth and I am so excited for it!

Once again I really liked the author’s pace and her writing. The story is just complicated enough and well thought out for the most part.

Tessa irritated me more in this book than previous ones. There were things that were just so obvious to me or how things were connected and she didn’t see them. She just seemed to make some stupid decisions sometimes and it’s a little irritating. Since she does spend a lot of this book at the compound that means not a lot of progress was made on her relationship with Dastien.

I do love Dastien. He is French, which is awesome. He stands out from guys in other books, which is always good since sometimes they blur together.

I understood that Tessa needed to go and learn how to be a witch at some point, but she didn’t seem to learn that much. There didn’t seem to be any growth for her as a witch while she was there. The climax scene was a little short for me and I am excited about Claudia’s book because I liked the idea of getting some of the story from another perspective. I think this book could have been better if done with other perspectives included. Especially what is going on with the pack while she is at the compound which you could have scenes from Dastien or preferably Meredith’s’ perspective and it really would have added to the story in my opinion. I really like the pack so I wanted to know what was happening while she was gone.

    3.5/5

This is another one of those Ink Monster books I couldn't wait t

This is another one of those Ink Monster books I couldn't wait to get my hands on! Aileen has definitely made it onto my favourite author list.

When I first read Becoming Alpha, I was completely captivated with Tessa & Dastien. Avoiding Alpha was a bit short but I was still excited to see where things were going in Alpha Divided.

I have come to expect quality adventure from this publisher and will probably read anything they release!

    Characters & Story line: 4/5

The characters continue to grow on you and the story line is intense!

Tessa & Dastien: I love the world of Tessa & Dastien. Finally!!! I was so excited that Tessa explored her brujo side - even if it was against her will and only a little bit. I love the fact that she is Were and Witch, with a huge amount of potential, power and destiny! We only discovered a little bit more about her powers though - I think Aileen is holding back something big. I loved Tessa in this book as much as I did in Becoming Alpha. Dastien just melts my heart every single he is with Tessa. He is as swoonworthy as ever!

Claudia, Raphel & Daniel: I enjoyed getting to know some of the coven members and understanding their side a bit better. I didn't doubt Daniel as much as Tessa did, I had a good feeling about him from the beginning, even if there was a shocking twist at the end.

Rosa: I love Rosa! She is that awesome Aunt that is an outcast of the coven and loves Tessa a lot. I would love to know a bit more about her, Grams and their history in the coven. I hope we get to see more of her!!

    Plot, Pace, Writing style: 4/5
Aileen has definitely grown as a writer. Becoming Alpha is still my favourite in this series so far but Alpha Divided was a close second. I am glad Aileen slowed down the pace a bit. In Avoiding Alpha it felt a bit rushed and I wanted to savour it a bit more. She got it right here - It was the perfect pace!! The first half of the book was okay but the second half of the book was better for me.

The main scene at the end felt like it lacked something though. It was exciting and intense and was building up to something big, there was a twist that made me choke up a bit but left me with a 'up in the air' feeling.

I know we'll get some answers and resolution in the next book, but it felt a little unresolved for me. Maybe if it ended with the moon ceremony it would have felt like some closure for this book.

I am quite excited to see Claudia's adventure in Brujo, she is one of those characters I have a soft spot for and cannot wait to get to know better.

Cover talk: 5/5 I love the cover!! It's the best of the series for me so far.

Final Thoughts: I love this series and will continue this series!! Bring on the next one.

Let me start by saying, this is my favorite book in this series

Let me start by saying, this is my favorite book in this series so far!

Tessa McCaide is finally turning 18. This is her first birthday where she has ever had any real friends to celebrate with her. She is so happy and just soaking it all in. She has a true mate, Dastien, and a small group of close friends. She can't imagine life could be any better. In just a couple days, she will participate in her first ever full moon ceremony and make her bond with Dastien official.

Before Tessa and Dastien could finish the ceremony, Luciana, the head of the bruja coven, interrupts. Tessa was supposed to be the next leader of the bruja coven, so Luciana is furious that Tessa is now a werewolf. Luciana is demanding that Tessa come live with the coven or she will wage war on the pack. Tessa hates the idea of leaving, but she even more hates the idea that people she has come to know and love could be hurt because of her. Tessa agrees to go live with the coven and learn their ways for one month to keep everyone safe.

While on coven land, Tessa can not feel her bond with Dastien at all. This is very difficult on her, but she is determined to hold up her end of the bargain. Tessa is learning more about her family and growing her abilities. It doesn't take long for her to figure out that Luciana is much worse than anyone thought. This goes much deeper and wider than they had imagined. Luciana is evil, she has been using dark magic, and it seems no matter what Tessa does, she still wants war.

To add even more drama, the pack has come to learn that some of their own are on Luciana's side. With a war on the horizon, who can they really trust to be on their side?

This book had me feeling so many different emotions, happiness, sadness, fear and anticipation. The wold book had me on the edge of my seat. I can not wait to see what happens next!

A HUGE thank you to Aileen Erin, INscribe Digital, Ink Monster, LLC and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review!

I fell in love with reading this Aileen Erin this is my first book of her but not my last. I gave it a five star rating because it's exciting, you will be hooked from the first page to the last page. Tessa and Dastien are strong alpha wolves but Tessa is also a powerful witch so the problem stems from Dastien could not resist his mate so he turned her without permission this plays into the evil wolf and evil witch leader of the coven hands. This a exciting story that you definitely buy, as this is the third book in the series if you haven't read the first two you will be like me intending to read the other two. Aileen Erin is a exceptional writer of paranormal romance that's geared for all audience . I recommend you buy this book you will be hooked from first page to last page. Happy reading
