Overview

The sole survivor on a science vessel adrift in deep space, Zeus was adopted by the Emperor and Empress of the Mar'Sani, though he is both human and blind, and seen by most as unfit to join the royal family. Though they were able to repair his vision, Zeus does not trust his eyes and the nobles of his parents' court refuse to ever trust a frail human.

Dargon Kal-Turak, along with his symbiote and lover Alpha, command one of the most dangerous ships in the stars. Narrowly escaping a trap, they dock in a space port to make repairs, but find that the Psionics hunting them are closing in fast. In desperation they kidnap the port Master Mechanic, unaware that the man they've brought on board is more than he seems, and will bring far more upheaval to their ship, their lives, and the stars than any of them could have imagined.

Meet the Author

Lexi has always been an avid reader, and at a young age started reading (secretly) her mother's romances (the ones she was told not to touch). She was the only teenager she knew of who would be grounded from reading. Later, with a pencil and a note book, she wrote her own stories and shared them with friends because she loved to see their reactions. A Texas transplant, Lexi now kicks her boots up in the Midwest with her Yankee husband and her eighty-pound puppies named after vacuum cleaners.

Somehow I missed that this was a menage – you’d think the word ‘trine’ in the title might have clued me in, but no… For me personally, it only made it that much better. However, I know that it’s a turn-off for some people, so my next few sentences are directed at you. Give it a shot. This was a very uniquely, well-written menage – awesome concept – and not at all what you typically read in a threesome story. This was incredibly sweet and beautiful and alpha all at the same time. Don’t judge! I just spoiled my own review, since it’s quite obvious from the get go that I not only enjoyed this book but that I adore the MC’s. Here’s a brief overview: Zeus is a human child (Terran) who was left to die on an empty spaceship when he was a mere babe. He’s blind, and the significance of that comes out later on. He’s claimed by the grieving Queen of an alien, lizard-like race made up of proud and feared warriors. Zeus is raised amongst them and they are fiercely protective of him, but he’s no slouch when it comes to his own fighting abilities. There’s a Mowgli-esque feel to his character as a youngster, and even as he matures. Zeus has completely absorbed the stances, posturings and sounds of his adopted family and it really adds to his characterization, makes him stand out from the typical misunderstood tough guy character. After working as a Master Mechanic on a space port, he’s spotted by Dargon Kal-Turek and his symbiotic mate (Alpha). There’s an immediate bonding attraction between the three, but brutal misunderstandings need to be overcome first. Without giving too much more away, Zeus finds himself kidnapped by Dargon as they flee the evil Psonics hunting them down. Did I mention that Dargon is also a lionish type of shifter too? The way the love scenes are portrayed between the three and how the Alpha is included (He doesn’t live separately, but as a part of Dargon) is what makes this three-way love story different from the typical menage. I really did love this story and a big part of that was the three main characters. I love sci-fi, but they can get tedious and bogged down with too many species and planets and ships and other stuff, and this book skirted the edges of that. In addition to the sci-fi elements, there were also fantasy/paranormal ones. I think if Zeus, Dargon and Alpha hadn’t been such well-crafted characters and their chemistry hadn’t been so incredibly strong, I might have had a difficult time getting through the story. That’s not to say it wasn’t an interesting or action packed story – because it was – but I would’ve missed the balance the character’s love story brought to the table if it had lacked the strong romantic element. Since this is Book 1 of a series, you can probably guess you’re not going to get the whole story in this first one. But no worries, Striker, Book 2 is already out, so read this one then run out and grab the second one while you’re at it. I’m getting my copy now! Overall, I give this smexy sci-fi menage 4 Lizard Claws. Reviewed by Michele for Crystal’s Many Reviewers *Copy provided for review*

Holy crap! Why did I wait so long before reading this book? What an incredible, and fascinating, world the author created. The detail was phenomenal, but not over the top to lose me with too much to process. The main characters and all of the secondary ones were fantastic! Zeus, Dargon, and Alpha were amazing! Full, rich, detailed characters, each with strengths and weaknesses, but coming together to form an Alpha Trine was a beautiful thing to see. I'm going to jump right into book two and bemoan the fact that book three is not out. Yet.

One of the other reviews mentioned this story as having a threesome, I personally can not see it as such. The three in question are Zeus, "human", Dargon a huminoid marsupial who turns into a lion, and Alpha a -for lack of better words- green blob that Dargon wears as a necklace. They are referred to as having a symbiotic and sexual relationship. Now while Alpha IS a participant in sex the fact that he is just a blob restricts what he actually does. While he does have a personality and does show signs of usefulness I truly cannot buy that this can be considered a manage-a-trois. That being said I can't help but think Alpha is an adorable blob, he seems like the kinda blob I would wanna hug and squish. The book itself is actually pretty good, secondary characters are actually interesting, the world is diverse and believable, and Zeus isn't the delicate flower most slash authors try to make of the "bottom". I will be buying the sequel to see what happens next

Sci-fi isn’t one of my favourite genres, mainly because of the big words that I find hard to pronounce or don’t quite understand, but don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love a good Sci-fi romance on occasion.  Lexi Ander has a way with building worlds and characters that is unsurpassable. Alpha Trine is about Zeus, a blind baby that was found on an abandoned ship by a Lizard-like breed and taken to be raised as one of their own. Zeus loves his family and though human in appearance he considers himself a Mar’Sani . circumstances lead him to work as a head mechanic on the galactic spaceport. He is kidnapped by Dargon along with his symbiote.  I found the worlds so interesting and all the characters intriguing, though Zeus, Dargon and Alpha are the main characters to this story, the others are all very fascinating. Lexi describes these characters so well you can practically see them! There is so much going on and so many twists and turns. There is some fabulous romance with a sensual , hot love scene and  a Male pregnancy.   Once you start you won’t want to stop and I am ready for the next!  If you like fabulous worlds, intriguing colourful characters, hot sexy love scenes, lion shifter, unique characters and male pregnancy this is for you!
