Tessa McCaide has had it up to here with supernaturals. Luciana may have failed to steal Tessa's magic, but she's just getting started on her crusade for magical domination. If her demonic summoning isn't stopped, it could mean the end of everything.

Tessa's allies, including her mate Dastien, are ready to fight, but they're no match for Luciana's power. A little help (and ancient Inca mojo) from Tessa's cousin, Claudia, may give the side of good a chance if she can make it home in time, but stopping the war is no longer an option.

When witches and wolves fight, no one wins. Only time will tell who will still be standing after the last spell is cast.

Tessa's true mate, Dastien, had bit her to make her a werewolf. She was having bad nightmares every night. She had been held at a compound by Lucinda and her demons. Lucinda had stripped Tessa of her magic, but once the jar holding her powers had been broken, she felt them come back to her. She had visions. Meredith was her best friends and had been there for her from the beginning. Lucinda had her own son Daniel turned into a zombie and he bit Raphael. This was a very good story. The plot was great and the characters were superb. I loved how Tessa had so much against her but never gave up. She realized how much she had to lose, not just her but the whole country. I loved the ins and outs of the story. I highly recommend **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**

Out of this series the best book was the first one. Dont go into the third book expecting romance. This book is all action, and imho, a little too slow. However, I would read any book that had Dastien, Tessa, Meredith and Donovan anytime. I did fall for the characters, and I want more! I totally recommend the series.

Alpha Unleashed (Alpha Girl #5) by Aileen Erin Alpha Unleashed takes place after Alpha Divided (book #3) and in conjunction with Bruja (Book 4). Tessa McCaide and friends prepare for a fight against Luciana’s evil daemonic summoning. Aileen Erin continues to deliver another phenomenal adventure in the Alpha Girl series. Alpha Unleashed is full of nonstop mystery and excitement. Poor Tessa has undergone so much in a short amount of time. Her character has shown tremendous growth and courage. She is a noteworthy heroine whom I adore. I love Dastien. He is a wonderful mate. He is powerful and supportive. The two make a cute couple. Okay maybe cute is not the right word because they are both such alphas, but they are still young, and I am much older than them, so cute it is. I love all the support characters. Each one is so different, yet relevant. Aileen Erin did a fabulous job with the plot. There are so many exciting things that happen prior to resolving the conflict. She does a great job of including events from prior books, while keeping the story fresh. I was glad that Aileen Erin left a note to the readers at the end of the story, letting us know this is the end for Tessa, Dastien, and friends. I definitely want to hear more stories about them. I love the Alpha Girl Series! Complimentary copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

First off, I have to admit that I did not read the rest of the series. Which was a mistake. Although it was no problem to get caught up in this book, I really wish I would have hit the others first. Starting off with book five, there were some obvious holes in the background information, but despite this, I found myself pulled into the story from the very first page and had no trouble connecting to the characters. This was a fun story, different from other werewolf books I've read up until now. Tessa is a modern day girl with spunk. Her thoughts, desires, actions and dialogue are fresh and feel so natural. Even the relationship with her friends didn't seem pushed, but seemed as common as every day friendship should be. Of course, there are moments of tension and when faced with witches, magic and werewolves, the characters are forced into situations which by no means reflect everyday life, but I enjoyed the reality behind all the adventure and fantasy. And this book had tons of adventure. From the moment we see Tessa fighting with her dreams, the plot jets forward and never stops. I especially loved the bad guy, Luciana, and enjoyed her evil and unexpected plans. There's a romance in these pages too. . .not quite as intense as the action. . .but enough to make a girl's heart beat faster. I do wish the bonding ceremony would have been played out a little bit more, but still, being an action girl, I can easily forgive any lapses on the romance end. The hero is still drool worthy, and the relationship definitely helped to give the story the full feeling it deserved. I enjoyed diving into this world and will be heading back to book one to experience the entire series because if the first four books are anything like this last one, they're worth the ride. Alpha Unleashed is book five and the stunning finale in the Alpha Girl series by Aileen Erin. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Ink Monster, LLC, and by Aileen Erin. I have been on board with this series from book one, page one. I have watched as Tessa McCaide received the bite that forever changed her life from her soon to be mate, Dastien, struggled to accept who she now was, and to grow and become the woman and alpha mate to Dastien that she is now. Tessa continued to surprise me throughout this series and in this book, she pretty much blew me away. This book starts out sort of running along the same time line as the previous book, Bruja, while Claudia is traveling in Peru to find what she needs to save her twin brother. Tessa, Dastien and the others are floundering to try to come up with a way to take out Luciana. But before they could come up with a good plan, Luciana made the first shocking move, a move that would change everything. In their attempts to cover their tracks, the existence of supernaturals are outed to the world. Tessa is chosen as a spokesperson and she desperately tries to convince the human public that they mean no harm to anyone, that they are there to protect them. But again Luciana intervenes and makes it look like they are attacking people. Tessa spends every waking moment studying books of magic to try to find a way to fight Luciana’s dark magic and the demons she wants to bring forth. She is exhausted and is also fighting with her own visions, trying to control them and use them to help them. Through all of this, the love between she and Dastien grows stronger. I think this is what takes this story from good to great. Dastien is so in love with Tessa and is her strength through everything. And when he speaks French to her, well, I can’t help but to swoon. “His kisses were addictive. They drowned out all the bad. All the scary. And I had a lot of that going on in my head. But one touch, and I was gone.” This final book is a crazy ride from the beginning to the end as the Weres, Witches and Fey are all united in their fight against evil. Tessa’s life has been in constant upheaval since she first became part of the supernatural world. Will she and Dastien finally get a chance to enjoy life as mates and live a peaceful existence? If you haven’t started this series yet, start at the beginning. The books definitely need to be read in order. This is a perfect book and series for young adult supernatural romance lovers. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
