Overview

How 3 girls tried to hook up with 78 guys in 1 semester:
the second installment.
So. Maybe freshman year isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Jodi won't be joining a sorority any time soon.
Celeste isn't so innocent anymore.
Ali is on the verge of flunking out of PU.
But who cares? Our heroines are hooking up with all sorts of Andys and Busters and "Captains" — slowly but surely making their way toward that elusive Z. And when they decide to take the Alphabetical Hookup List on the road — to Paris, no less — it looks as though they can finally forget about their troubles. (For one long weekend, anyway.)
Unfortunately — thanks to a series of mishaps including scandalous behavior in the library stacks, a guitar-shaped tattoo, and a missing $6,000 — their troubles just got a lot worse.
And the ABCs just got a lot more complicated.

Who messed up the room and why Yars isn't there to make sure she (the main character) made it to the room, l wonder. Continue!

The first stop was the kitchen. It was small, containing a large, pink bucket to wash dishes, a wood stove for cooking food, and a second bucket for fresh water collection. The room was rather small. Thin, but longer lengthwise. Not enough space for me to want to cook here.
&nbsp After looking around for a coupleminutes more, Yars led me to a room next to the kitchen. A bedroom similar to my own except the bedding was made of a lighter material and there was no closet.
"Just a spare," Yars said unnecessarily. Why l was being given a friendly tour, l had no idea. Yet, here l was, going along with it. Perhaps l could find an escape route. Doubtful, unless Yars was the dumbest person around. "Let's go to the basement now," he adds a moment later. 'How the hell did the builders of the house create a basement in the middle of the woods,' l questioned myself, unsure how this worked out. We walked by several more roons before finally reaching the stairs, which also left me wondering just how big the house actually was.
"Careful, the steps get damp near the bottom," l heard his voice call out from below. I decided to stand at the top of the stairs until he realized l was not behind him. The crutches rendered me useless around steps and l was betting he had forgotten about them, especially as he continued ro ramble down in the basement. Eventually he went silent and started to head back to the steps, or so l believed, and l scrambled out of the doorway as to not be seen immediatelt as he came up. Several minutes later, he finally rose to the ground floor again.
Spotting me upon stepping up, Yars narrowed his eyes. "Why didn't you tell me you stayed up here," he yelled, getting in my face. I kept my face straight, determined not to show my thoughts. "Back to the room," he growled, turning and stomping off, leaving me alone by the steps. I was unsure if he wanted me back in my room from earlier, but l decided to go back there anyway. At least now l can find my way around more than before.
l went back to my room, walking as fast as l could with the crutches. Walking in, l expected the room to be empty. And it was, except someone ransacked it, leaving it a mess. For awhile, l glared at it, wishing it could clean itself and that no one had messed it up in the first place. 'If l leave it, they'll think it was me and probably find some way to force me to clean it anyway,' l thought grimly, slowly setting down the crutches in front of the doorway. 'And still no door,' l added silently, still upset, but staying cool. Old habits die hard; l can't let myself lose control. My teacher, Naomi, and my parents, Giza and Medon, would be disappointed in me if l forgor their teachings and beliefs. I had to stay string even in this odd time.
Picking up blankers from the floor, l tested my ankle. I stayed upright, feeling very little pain. As l put more pressure on it, l figured as long as it was not heavy, whatever l carried, l could walk and put some things away. Sighing, l went to work. The blankets got folded and placedon the bed until l could place them in the closet. Undergarments, nightwear, shirts, and pants, they all went onto the bed beside the blankets while l struggled to put tje drawers in their respectful places. Why every drawer had exaxtly one slot that fit it, l did not understand. 'Conformity,' l thought bitterly as l pushed the last one in place. Shaking my head, l started placing the clothes in their respectful drawers.
~L&beta

Seriously, why is Pheobe not writing anymore?? I loved this lil mini series. I stumbled upon the first one at a book store, I read the first chapter before I bought it and promptly bought all three books that day! I couldn't wait to read them! I've loaned them to friends many times they're so worn out already! I thought these books were smart, HILARIOUS & 'unputdownable'. Simply pure must reads!
