This is my favourite album of the year (so far). I must admit that it took me a few listens to cherish it, but after that, I became hooked. I had heard Phoenix on the "Lost in Translation" soundtrack, and loved that track so much that I was disappointed on first listen with "Alphabetical". Granted that track is from Phoenix's 2000 album, "United," which I have yet to hear, but severely want to. "Alphabetical" is so unlike anything that is out right now. Phoenix has a sound and style so unique on this album, I can't wait to see what they will do in the future. From the groovy "Run Run Run" to the beautiful "Alphabetical," this is a gorgeous album that has adorned my stereo and Ipod for months, and will most likely continue to do so.Was this review helpful?
