Cyrus runs Manhattan with an iron fist. He will keep his pack safe whether they want him to or not. But something is missing and lately he is more on edge than ever. With his pack at risk and the Alphas of Philadelphia and Boston breathing down his neck, he doesn't anticipate the arrival of his true mate, particularly when he finds her in a coffee house across the street from his office building. She's not only identical to the mate of the alpha of Philadelphia but has no idea that werewolves even exist, let alone that she's one herself. Cyrus is determined to protect her while he solves the mystery of her life.
Betsy, strong, smart, and determined, has been suffering for months trying to keep her parents alive. She doesn't know where the werewolf who followed her home came from and she doesn't care, he just needs to leave her alone. But as Betsy gets to know Cyrus, she will discover things about herself that she'd never believed possible. She's the only one who can help Cyrus keep his pack safe-especially when the true believers are out to destroy them.

***Received from Fated Desires Publishing for an honest review*** Cyrus is an Alpha through and through. He cares for his pack, is tough as nails, and doesn't take crap from anyone. At times, he comes across as a complete ass but, I think, it's due to what he took on when he became Manhattan's Alpha. It wasn't just the responsibility of being a leader but mending together lives broken by war, heartache, and loss. Betsy is...broken. There are so many paranormal stories of broken heroes and heroines, and they are indeed broken. But Betsy... Her story, her history, really touched me and broke my heart. Before she met Cyrus, she had and lost so much due to secrets and lies. Meeting Cyrus really helped put her back together, not into the woman she was before but into a woman who's strong enough to face her past, to stand beside her Alpha, and grab hold of a future she never thought possible. Alphas are often portrayed as detached men who only show affection to their mates, and usually in private more than in public. They come across as harsh, demanding, and domineering. I can't say Cyrus isn't any of those things. He is. He has a pack to run, treaties to observe and honor, new treaties to consider, and a company to run. But having Betsy changed him in a manner that was remarkably refreshing to read. He was still the "I'm Alpha and my word is law" kind of guy but she brought out a side of him I think even he was surprised to see. He became more caring toward his members of his pack, asking one warrior how he was doing, and even taking the time to listen to his sister. Ms. Royce is off to an incredible start with this book in what promises to be a great series. (If you haven't already done so, check out the prelude to this series, "Alpha Rising" in the Ever After anthology.) I can't wait to read more of her Fallen Alphas.

Cyrus is a sexy and strong Alpha and his world gets turned upside down when he stumbles across his true mate Betsy! Only problem is Betsy doesn't know what she truly is let alone Cyrus. Betsy is tangled up in a something that will lead everyone into danger. Will Cyrus be able to help Betsy and keep his pack safe? Will he be able to claim his mate? What will happen when Betsy finds out what she truly is and the truth about her upbringing? So many questions and this book will take you on an adventure. I loved Cyrus and Betsy! You must get this book and she for yourself  Cyrus and Betsy's journey!

Not sure how many books will be in this series, but I want them all. Gotta love a possesive alpha, especially when they try so hard, but still screw up.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Vivacious Valkyrie - Marta: *Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review --Actual rating 4.5 Skulls Rebecca Royce is a name to watch . She's starting to really get noticed by my fellow readers of paranormal fiction and with this her new Fallen Alphas series I can a certainly see why . This story which is full length follows on from her story Alpha Rising which appeared in the anthology Ever After . It's a standalone story which is fast paced and certainly kept this reader entertained. Cyrus is the werewolf Alpha of Manhattan and although he has a sister and his pack to care for something is most definitely missing from his life. Going into a coffee shop one day he stumbles upon the one thing guaranteed to make his inner wolf sit up and take notice, Betsy his mate! Slight problem though as she's engaged to a human and doesn't even realise that she's a werewolf herself! Betsy doesn't understand why all she can think about is the great smelling stranger in front of her but one thing is for sure she can't let her fiancé know just how attracted she is. Betsy has been blackmailed into a loveless relationship but the safety of her parents depends on her doing the right thing. Only problem is doing the right thing is getting harder as a certain gorgeous and demanding man is determined that her place is with him! When Cyrus sets his sights on something he will move heaven, earth and even the odd fiancé to get it and Betsy is most definitely his! This book has everything a lover of paranormal romance could ask for, a strong sexy loving hero, a heroine who possesses inner strength , wolves that will fight for their loved ones and villains who really need taking down and believe me the bad guys in this book are truly evil. This is a sexy tale set amongst shifters that will keep you turning the pages . The story progresses nicely and pretty soon we learn that these captivating wolves are much more than one dimensional. The author brings heart to the story and her interesting supporting characters really help to flesh out this new world that she's creating . A great read in what I'm sure is a series destined to do really well. It's a story that just works and although there's no cliffhanger as such I feel Ms Royce has a lot more planned for her readers.

Life changed for Betsy the moment Cyrus followed her into Starbucks.  Betsy is in an untenable position being blackmailed into marrying a man she hates to protect her parents.  Cyrus is the Alpha of the Manhattan Pack of werewolves. Born to protect and Betsy’s fated mate.  Problem is Betsy is latent and doesn’t know she is a werewolf and then there is the whole protect the folks thing.  Cyrus runs a whole pack he isn’t going to let a little thing like a fiancé and extortion stop him from getting the one thing that is for him alone. Betsy’s heart. This is a fast paced, sometimes intense read loaded with plenty of tongue in cheek humor.  Betsy is stronger than it first appears and Cyrus will need every bit of that strength.  Lots of wonderful secondary characters to build on.  I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.

3 out of 5 stars. I'm not a fan ... I stuck with this novel because I paid for it. And while I appreciated the plot and the way Ms. Royce wrote Betsy, it was hard to like Cyrus. Overtime Betsy is able to brake through Cyrus' shell but I cannot say out right that I ever really liked him as a character by himself, his relationship with Betsy though was entertaining to read. In addition, I liked how this novel wrapped up and built to the next novel in its series. I recommend it if you are a fan of Ms. Royce and looking for a unique werewolf romance.

205 pages. Editing was sketchy. Good story but the beginning and ending lacked substance.

This is the second story, and the first full length novel, in The Fallen Alpha series by Rebecca Royce. Unlike the last one 'Alpha Rising' which was a short novella this longer one allows Rebecca to provide quite a bit of world building that was missing in the previous story. Cyrus Fennell is the Alpha of the New York City pack. He doesn't believe in True Mates or the creation story of his werewolf genetics. So he is in for a shock when he discovers his true mate, Betsy Warren, in a Starbucks coffee shop. This is one of Rebecca's typical strong alpha males and Cyrus's fall into matehood is quite an entertaining read. The so-called 'tough Alpha' fantasizes about Betsy to the point that he feels the freckles on her nose are 'sigh-worthy.' Quite funny. I love it when such manly men fall hard.  When he first strikes up a conversation with Betsy she comes across as a very submissive mate. I was very happy to see that once she grows confident in his presence that changes.  This book also goes more into detail about the human group out to destroy the werewolves. Betsy just happens to be unwillingly engaged to one of them. To my utter merriment Cyrus takes things into his own hands rather quickly and deals with that particular threat.  But not before a horrible tragedy occurs within the Pack. I admit that I had to go look for a box of tissues after reading that scene. It broke my heart.  Then there is Cyrus's sister, Lake. She is the Healer for the pack and one night she gets roaring drunk and cannot perform her duties. Because of this it leads to a whole chain of events that I'm sure will be taken up in future books in the series. She then has to deal with the consequences of her actions. This will create quite a dilemma for her in the next book since she has met her own mate, the Alpha of Montana, Beau. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to future books in the series.

Alpha's Strength (Fallen Alpha book 1) by Rebecca Royce If you are looking for sexy, hot, male-alpha wolves and their strong, independent, sassy counter-parts, then you will love Alpha's Strength. There is lots of suspense, action (of both kinds) and some sad times too. Sometimes things just don't go the way you hope they do. Cyrus and Betsy don't have an easy time of it, but the good things are worth fighting and waiting for. Rebecca Royce does a fantastic job, again, of weaving a great story of finding the one that is meant for just for you. *ARC given for an honest review*

Rebecca Royce has become one of my favorite authors. Again her words just flow through the pages as she keeps you in suspense, what is going to happen next? Cyrus the Alpha of Manhattan was a good Alpha he made sure he took care of this pack it sometimes hard living in the city with humans. Cyrus needed some time to his self so he started walking with horn blaring people rushing by him then he smells something oooooooo it smells so good and the smell was coming from the coffee shop, he keep following the smell of Vanilla. Betsy Webber was enjoying her coffee when this Adonis sits down talking to her. Cyrus realized Betsy was his true mate who didn't know she was a werewolf. All I can say is this Series A Fallen Alpha is GREAT if it follows Book 1 Alpha's Strength. I was gifted this ARC for a honest and truthful review.

I was given a copy of this book for my honest review. I loved this book. You get just a tiny bit of a taste of Cyrus in Alpha Rising. He appears to be this mean/tough werewolf and you aren’t sure if he is a bit on the malicious side or if it’s all an act. In this book you find out that it’s an exterior he puts up. He is actually a caring man that doesn’t know how to express that. It takes Betsy, his true mate, to show him that side of himself. I loved meeting Betsy and was glad to see a bit of a different personality from a latent werewolf.   I loved being able to learn more about Cyrus/Betsy and Lake in this book as well as get a peek into the inner workings of the Manhattan pack something we only got a brief touch of with the Philadelphia pack in Alpha Rising. A few things from Alpha Rising were tied up for me but new things opened up with this story line. The characters were well written and the story line was intriguing, contained enough action/turmoil, and had a few hot scenes in there too. As usual Rebecca Royce does not fail to keep me from being on the edge of my seat and turning those pages to see what happens next.

Although the story is very interesting and could be a good series, I will not buy any more books by this author. The love scenes aren't romance, but very crude and ugly pornography. This book should be rated XXX and come in a brown paper bag with a warning. It is a sad world we live in when something that should be sacred and beautiful is reduced to its crudest, most vulgar and vile depictions.
