There are a number of treatment options involved for the different types of altitude sicknesses; some medical, some natural and some that you can do at home before and after you travel in order to prevent and/or to treat altitude sickness. One home remedy is for you to ensure that you are appropriately hydrated.
This you can do by drinking enough water as well as checking your urine to ensure that it is clear, and making sure you are urinating enough with respect to number of times you do it, and the amount that does come when you go to the bathroom to urinate. One popular medication for the treatment of altitude sickness for acute altitude is the use of a Gamow bag until you are able to get to lower altitudes.

About The Author
Traveling and other adventures is what Darren Chin lives for. Mountain climbing, bungee jumping, you name it, and the scarier it is, he either has done it, or plans to do it sometime in the very near future. You can find him on the highest mountains in many different countries, seeking the next challenge to overcome; the next adventure to use to outdo the last one.
As such, he found it imperative to have all the information he could have about altitude sickness. “Who has time to be sick, when there are so many mountains to climb, and so many airplane trips to take?” is what Chin asked himself even while doing very in depth research on the illness.
He did not start out to write a book, he simply wanted to arm himself with the requisite information so that altitude sickness did not interfere with his travels and adventures. However, with the volume and the wealth of information that he found while researching this sickness for himself, he decided that it would be great to share it with fellow adventurous folks as well as just for persons who travel for business or who climb an occasional mountain or two sometimes.
Now almost an expert in the field, Chin has not had mountain sickness since his first and only experience with it over fifteen years ago when he took his first plane trip that lasted more than the usual two to four hours he was accustomed to prior to this.
