Of all the romance novel I have read I have never felt such loathing toward the female as I did Carin Brewster. Rafe may not be the easiest man to deal with but her jibes at him go too far. The writing is not bad but Carin has no reedeming qualities and never seems to see the errors of her ways. Rafe calls her a spolit bratearly on the book but she never really chamges from this behavior. I would have looked to see her character grow instead of behavior becoming more volatile and immature.
