For the most part, it takes a real sourpuss to make the act of sucking on a helium balloon a dismal affair, so this umpteenth rendering of creator Ross Bagdasarian''s Chipmunks empire has its fair share of chuckles. The 2007 live-action/computer-animated film Alvin and the Chipmunks follows the pint-sized rodents as they cause their usual mischief, and the soundtrack relies exclusively on their squeaky voices to convey what once was a grand recording idea. That said, kids who missed out on the Chipmunks'' ''70s heydays or the trio''s animated series a decade later will probably discover a lot of potential Christmas presents in the experience, and the inclusion of the original "Christmas Song" and "Witch Doctor" shows that the producers at least feel a little bit guilty about dressing the furry critters up as gangsta rappers on the cover.

    I loved this movie as well as the soundtrack. One of the best movies for anyone to see. I love this movie because it appeals not just to kids, but to adults too. I wish we had talking chipmunks like that in real life. That would be awesome. They would make great companions. Overall, wonderful movie, 2 thumbs up!

    I love the chipmunks

    I loved the movie. The chipmunks are so cute and funny, especially Theodore.

    These chipmunks are awsome!

    The movie alvin and the chipmunks is an awsome movie!I saw it twice already I want to see it for a third time!It is a nice friendly movie for all audiance i really do recomand this movie!"Theadore is my favorite.And I love the song that goes want a plane that looptey loop me i want a hoola hoop!)

    girl, saw with friends

    We loved that movie. It was so funny and it was very cute i love the chipmunks. Theadore is my favorite.
