ALWAYS DEVOTED
Contemporary romance/mystery
Search For Love, Book 3, Linc Granger's story

Single mom, Emma Henderson's worry about her missing sister threatens to overshadow her life. Media mogul Linc Granger offers Emma help, first by airing a nation-wide interview and then... By suggesting Emma consult with his friend Gillian Bradley who has a "gift" for finding missing persons.

As Emma and Linc walk the beach and she considers his unorthodox suggestion, Emma realizes she feels a sizzle of attraction to this man that she never felt with another--not even her late husband. Linc Granger is out of her league in so many ways. Yet her four-year-old daughter Becky believes he's her new best friend!

Emma and Linc's chemistry is impossible to deny as they consult with Gillian and follow leads to find Paige. What happens when their attraction explodes and they do find answers? Will Emma be able to leave the past behind to find a future with Linc?

Linc Granger's friends Nathan and Gillian Bradley (NATHAN'S VOW, Book 1, Search For Love) as well as Sara and Jake Donovan (JAKE'S BRIDE, Book 2, Search For Love) play an instrumental role in ALWAYS DEVOTED. Other friends of Linc's are introduced--Zack Burke and Tessa Kahill. They will have their own SEARCH FOR LOVE novels in 2012!

Editorial Reviews

Harriet Klausner
"The mystery of what happened to Paige is cleverly handled while the touch of the paranormal enhances the exciting story line. However, it is the changing relationship between the cynic, the mom, and the child who affirm that Ms. Smith is one of the best contemporary family drama authors."
Bowers Jane
"Popular Harlequin/Silhouette romance author Karen Rose Smith adds a bit of a mystery to contemporary romance in ALWAYS DEVOTED, but she continues to delve into the hearts of her characters and includes her trademark heartwarming passages between an alpha man and a child."

Meet the Author

Karen Rose Smith's plots are all about emotion. She began writing in her early teens when she listened to music and created stories to accompany the songs. After expressing feelings in poetry, earning a degree in English and French, completing short stories that became too long to find a market, she turned to her love of relationships in romance. This award-winning best-selling author (USA Today List, Borders Bestseller List) has sold 79 books since 1991 and has published with Silhouette, Harlequin, Kensington and Meteor/Kismet. Her awards include two Golden Leaf awards in short contemporary romance, the Golden Quill in traditional romance, two cataromance.com's awards for Best Special Editions and Romance Review's Today's Best series romance award. Jane Bowers of Romance Reviews Today states: "Karen Rose Smith's storyworlds are complete and realistic and lovely places to visit and revisit."

Karen is well-known for writing emotion. An only child, she spent a lot of time in her imagination and with books Nancy Drew, Zane Gray, The Black Stallion and Anne of Green Gables. She dreamed of brothers and sisters and a big family like her mother and father came from. On weekends she was often surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins. This is the root of her plotlines that include small communities and family relationships as part of everyday living. She believes universal emotions unite us all and that is the reason she employs them to propel her plots.

It is no secret that Karen married her college sweetheart and they have been married for over 35 years. She believes in the power of commitment and the hope that goes along with the promise of everlasting love. Along with enjoying time with her husband, Karen enjoys cooking, gardening, shopping, listening to music and keeping her two cats company or vice versa.

She has been busy reformatting her backlist as ebooks. In addition, she writes Harlequin Special Editions. Her new series REUNION BRIDES began in February 2011 with HIS DAUGHTER...THEIR CHILD and will continue in July 2012 with THE CEO'S UNEXPECTED PROPOSAL. Her mystery series with a home-stager sleuth will begin in 2013.

Readers can follow her on Facebook (Search--Karen Rose Smith) or on Twitter @karenrosesmith. She welcomes interaction on either social network and would love to chat about plotlines, heroes, heroines, music, books, gardening, cooking, or anything else readers deem noteworthy!

Reccomend even if only 60 pages.

I loved this book but too short to cost $3.00 plus tax. I would have given it 5 stars if it had even been 200 pages of the story, the last 40 pages are an excerpt from another book to buy, but can' t tell if 60 pages or 400. I really do like her writing, tho. Thank goodness Heartfire was free. I cried and smiled as I read this. You really get drawn into the story and want everything to turn out right. GJRA
