Rosa was facing trials in every direction. It was good to read a book where a character is facng some very reallistic problems. I was a little surprised about the property taxes though. Where I live, everyone complains that the amish don't pay property taxes. As a result, in townships that are heavily amish, the roads are terrible because they don't have enough people paying taxes. But maybe that is something each county or state decides... I don't know. Anyway... I really liked Rosa. I felt like I can identify with her. Sometimes our problems overwelm us. It is a true test of faith because you can't see a solution-- at least not the solution we might want or expect. Sometimes we have to go through some pretty difficult times in order to grow in our faith and to adjust how we see things. But is amazing when you feel helpless and you can see God meet that need. It is an inceedible thing and this story is a great reminder to lean on God in every situation.
