This book was a required reading in my History of Western Civ class. Being required to read it aside, it was actually a very good book... however, multiple readings may be required. Tantum does not write chronologically, so trying to follow anything in order is very difficult. Sticky notes, or a pen and paper is recommended when reading. However, the information is well researched and plentiful, anything you may have ever wanted to know about J. Caesar you can find, from his childhood and family history, to the events leading to his death.
