Oláh reveals an interest in the late Bill Evans by choosing three pieces associated with the legendary pianist. Earl Zindars' "How My Heart Sings," another Evans favorite, is a fluid performance that is full of surprises. Oláh's treatment of the standard "Stella by Starlight" is powered by McClure's tasty bass and DeJohnette's crisp brushwork, with the leader delivering yet another engaging solo.
