Overview

1926 -

Morna Glenn has lived all her life in the backwoods of Tennessee, longing for escape.

Her heart is devoted to matinee dreamboat Rudolph Valentino. When he dies Morna descends into a maelstrom of depression and gloom.

Her desperate mother sends her to Miss Gemma Sweeney, a spiritualist who sees Morna's future as an actress. During a séance, it is revealed that Morna's soulmate is in Los Angeles, in danger of being destroyed by an evil soul who has harmed him in the past.

Since she was a child Morna has had dreams of other lives - dreams where her love for someone she cannot have leads to betrayal and death - she knows this is that same soulmate who needs her.

She is afraid of the dreams but the urge to find that soul is too strong, and takes her on a perilous journey from the hills of Tennessee to the glamour of 1920s Hollywood.

There she courts fortune and fame as an ingénue while searching for her soulmate. Two young men hold keys to her heart: Danny Ross, a troubled drifter, and swashbuckling actor Will Raven, who has some demons of his own.

Will Morna choose the right one this time? Or will the terrible dreams become real once more?
