Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock - Debbie n/a
This book was delightfully sweet, sexy and short, Usually I moan about short stories but sometimes you just need a short, especially when suffering a book hangover. What I particurlarly liked about this book was MARTY. Marty who felt bad, Marty who wanted to clear the air with the hottie so she knew it was only a one time thing and MARTY who surprised himself with how he was with Elizabeth. Its written entirely from his POV, again, I usually moan about that but to be honest, I didn't mind.
Bea's Book Nook - Bea n/a
The contrast between shy, sometimes bumbling Marty and blow your mind stud Marty was well done and fun to see. Marty isn't a bad boy, he has a good heart and good manners, he just needs a little social coaching. The interactions between he and Shelby and he and Elizabeth were alternately sweet and hot. The sex was steamy and I like that the story ends on a HFN, not an HEA. Always the Quiet Ones was a sweet and steamy romance. It's perfect for when you're short on time but want a complete story

Quick and easy to read during a lunch break Favorite Quotes: “Girls like her weren’t interested in guys like him.  Who would want a total geek like him?  Sure, he had a fancy title, but that just made him a supreme geek rather than a lowly geek.  Yep, the girls flock for a piece of that action.” “He bent his head very slowly and gauged her reaction.  She didn’t cover her mouth or knee him in the gonads, which he took for a good sign.” My Review: A funny and quick little novella that is actually realistic for a somewhat naughty little tale.  The main male character is not an Adonis with the perfect 6 pack, bulging biceps, or gigantic/large penis.  I haven’t read a book with a normal looking man with an average sized sacred member in years!   After a dry spell, our man gets lucky twice in one week, much to his surprise.   There were humorous little comments, insightful inner musings, and a few hot little scenarios that  bring a smile to my lips.  Easy to finish during a lunch break if you’d like to add a little zing to your meal.

I quite enjoy Carr’s writing style.  The easy flow of words lets you in to the world that she creates.  The story itself was extremely superficial.  That said, considering the short length of this story one can’t expect much more.   Carr writes with a light and easy writing style that connects you directly to the main character.  The major characters are surprisingly well developed in the here and now for such a short story.  I did, however, find that the dialogue felt scripted.  It was as if the characters were simply saying what was expected of them.  I felt no connection with the characters.  I felt like Carr simply put them there to develop a few hot & steamy scenes. As a whole, this was a quick & enjoyable read that would be great if you’re just looking for a little taste of something hot.   Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

This story was a little awkward, though cute too.  However, it felt really rushed.  I almost think this was actually a prequel or something leading into a bigger book, except that their story was pretty much told.   The love scenes are mostly “closed door”, but you do get a few fun, hot foreplay scenes.  The rest were the awkward, rushed parts.  I liked the ending, but it definitely added to the strangeness, because it didn’t actually involve the heroine. Always the Quiet Ones is a quick, but confusing read.  It’s worth checking out for a sweet story about romantic potential.

I was gifted this novella for an honest review by author Cassandra Carr. Marty travels because of work and on 1 such trip he has a 1 night stand but when he starts seeing a co-worker things change for him when he starts getting serious with naughty quiet Elizabeth. The author really has a smooth flowing story line in this novella and Marty and Elizabeth really spice up this story.  This is a short erotic romance and well worth the time to read.
