I was thrilled when I was offered a graduate teaching position at the prestigious Tennerson Girls Academy. At twenty-three, this would be my first 'real' teaching assignment. Working at the elite boarding school, home to the daughters of some of the wealthiest people in the world, was a great opportunity that I would've been stupid to pass up.

One week into my new job, and I suddenly had no idea why I chose high school...I was a seventeen year old boy once, I knew how teenage girls behaved.

You can't even imagine the hell of trying to teach thirty, hormonal driven seventeen year olds who have been cooped up, away from any male contact.

I could handle the whispers every time I entered the room. I could even handle the obvious attempts at gaining my attention. What I couldn't handle was her...

Rich bitches and way too many rules. Was it any wonder that I hated school?

Add to that the lack of male contact, and I was going insane. Like literally. I wasn't used to this. A year ago I was normal. I had a boyfriend, friends and a loving family. There is nothing normal about me anymore, and nobody here lets me forget that.

My name is Wrenn, and I'm only here because my aunt took me in after what happened, but my aunt also happens to be the headmistress of this academy...Can you see my problem?

I'm hated for my lack of money, and I'm hated for who my Aunt is.

Then he arrived. Dalton Reed. My new history teacher.

Slowly, he helped me see that even in the worst situations, there is always hope.

Ok so I liked his background and why he is afraid to get into a relationship. I liked her background and understanding why she is quiet and reserved. What I didn't like and get was the characters themselves. Dalton (teacher) was creepy for going after Wrenn(student) I understand she is of legal age but he is still five years older. I just felt the author did not make it seem ok for them to be together. I wished the author would of given me more on their deep conversations. It was more just said they loved their deep conversations. Wrenn, I really liked however, she was immature and not ready for a relationship. But somehow she is the love of his life. Just didn't do it for me.

This was a well written book. Emotional but not overly dramatic. The portion about Paige's antics is where this book to a turn to cheesyville and stayed there until the end. I think I skimmed the last 30 pages because of that. It was a sweet light read.

This and more reviews at The Book Bar.co Rating: Top Shelf by Guest Bartender, Hayley This book deserves a full 5*s as it is a taboo storyline but with the twists of ill health and Wrenn's age.  Things start to progress and draw you in, plus you will always get the cattiness of other girls around who want to make trouble for you. Wrenn, who had everything until one car crash left her with no mom, dad or brother, found herself being moved to live with her aunt and uncle.  Feeling very alone and with low self confidence, she liked to stay under everyone's radar so she could gain the qualifications she needed to be a lawyer.  You will always get the high school wannabes and this new school has them by the cliquey and very nasty Paige and her friends.  They target Wrenn and her friend Kass, who happens to be a lesbian. To make matters harder for Wrenn, a new teacher, Dalton Reid, is the new hot history teacher.  Being in an all-girls high school, he finds himself centre of attention with all the girls in his class and their obvious flirting. Wrenn and Dalton form a friendship and things move forward at a very fast rate, but Paige knows and makes everything so much harder for the pair.  She accuses Dalton of trying it on with her, as a result Dalton can't teach at high school and has to stay off campus. Dalton is fighting his own struggles as he knows he might be carrying the Huntington's disease, which his father had died from, but with Wrenn's strength, he has the confidence to find out for sure and pushes forward to have tests carried out.

I’m a fan of forbidden romance. Teacher/student romance specially! Bring it on! This made me really excited to dig into this read. Wrenn is a senior at Tennerson Girls Academy. She is repeating her senior year after a horrible family tragedy. She’s not your normal Tennerson girl, her aunt is the head mistress and her guardian now, which is how she ended up there in the first place. Dalton is 23 and just scored his first real job at Tennerson for the last few weeks of the term. He feels if he can just make it through the hormone addled girls for a few weeks, this will be a real resume booster for him. What he doesn’t count on is meeting Wrenn. He feels connected to her. What neither of them knows is that they have a past association. But, Dalton has never been interested in long term relationships for, what he feels, is a very good reason. Neither can deny what is between them, nor do they want to. Can they explore this connection they have and keep it secret until Wrenn graduates? Will Dalton be able to share his big secret with her, and if he does, how will that impact their relationship? Will they get their happily ever after? I wanted to like this book, I really did. The subject matter and the writing were both up my alley, but at the end of the day I just didn’t feel like the overall story delivered for me. I just didn’t feel a connection to either Wrenn or Dalton, and I really struggled to feel the connection they shared that made them want to risk everything. A story like this just needed more passion in order for me to really get into it. Plus, the plot seemed a bit predictable to me. Dalton’s big secret being the one thing I didn’t really see coming (and boy was that heartbreaking). I think for me, in a story like this, I need a bit more in order to really understand the character’s motivations, and something was just missing in that respect for me. Perhaps it was that Dalton didn’t feel like a very deep character. I think more of his past could have been delved into the flesh out his character more. All that being said, I didn’t dislike this book. It was firmly in the middle for me. I finished it, and felt compelled to in the end in order to find out what happens. Also, as I said, the writing is not bad. The story flows and the dialogue is good. It was really just something intangible that was missing for me. I think if you like student/teacher romances, there’s a big chance this book will be right up your alley. This is only a 3.5 star read for me, but I can easily see how it could be higher for someone else. Reviewed by Sara for Crystal’s Many Reviewers *Copy provided for honest review*

Dalton was offered to teach in an all-girl’s academy. At 23, it was almost a nightmare. I love watching him uncomfortable when the young girls are hitting him. Hormones plus lack of male contact makes them even more dangerous. But one girl caught his attention – After a tragedy, Wrenn transferred to another school. She preferred solitude, and other mean girls made her an object of their bullying. A year ago, she might have been normal, but a lot has happened in her life she had no control of. So here she is, a charity case in this prep school, and no one makes her forget that. Despite the very controversial and frowned-upon relationship Wrenn and Dalton have – I can’t help but love these two characters. They have surpassed a lot of trials from their past, and despite the fact that it’s still haunting them, they have faced each day bravely than yesterday. They have shared a connection more than their pain – unknown to both, they have already met before. Wrenn made a difference in his life then… I love the ending – it might not be your typical happily ever after, and more of the happily-for-now type, but it gave me a dose of reality – thank goodness! It’s a little sad when you really think about it, but at least they are really living each day of their lives without any regrets. Their love, what they are sharing is worth every risk, and every trial they might encounter in the future. ¿ARC Copy was given in exchange for an honest review.¿

This was not your usual student/teacher romance! It's hard to explain, but it felt a whole lot lees "forbidden" and a whole lot more like just another relationship dilemma.  Wrenn is just doing what she needs to do to get through the days and finish up her high school credits and graduate, which would have already happened if not for the months of school she missed after a horrific accident that claimed the lives of her entire immediate family. Moving in with her aunt, who is the Head Mistress at an elite prep school for girls doesn't earn her any points with her classmates, and it isn't until the new, and gorgeous teacher, Mr. Reid, comes along that Wrenn begins to feel a connection with someone again.  Dalton is fresh out of college, and thanks to his mom, who is great friends Wrenn's aunt, he lands an 8 week teaching contract at her prep school, filling in for a teacher who is on maternity leave. He's trying to just get through the days and not loose his cool dealing with his intimidating colleagues and hoards of hormonal girls. Instantly, he feels something familiar about Wrenn, and as they happen to get closer to one another, he soon finds that he may have found someone he had true feelings for, despite trying his hardest to avoid that his whole life.  As they set out on their new relationship they soon find that things like him being her teacher may just be the least of their worries for their future.  This story was touching and beautiful. I loved getting to know both the main characters and I ached for them at a few moments in this book. This was one of the novels that deals with some pretty serious subject matter, and is highly emotional, yet the author has presented it in a way that still keeps the book light and sweet. I got major feels during my reading, but I never felt like I had to bawl my eyes out, it was a nice balance of getting the emotional read I love, without having to tear my heart out of my chest.  There was a perfect amount of steaminess for this book as well. Not too much that it overpowers everything, but enough to make you giddy! You will definitely find Dalton to be great book-boyfriend material. And you will find Wrenn to be an awesome heroine as well, so very strong and mature.  All in all, I was happy to have stumbled upon this read and I will be looking out for more from this author!

Dalton Reed has just taken a prestigious teaching position at Tennerson's Girls Academy. He thought it would be easy and then he could move on to something better. One week into the teaching assignment and Dalton regrets taking it. He forgot why he didn't want to teach high school...he was a seventeen year old boy once, the hormones, and the girls being couped up with no male interaction. The only thing keeping him here and interested is her...Wrenn. Wrenn has had it rough the past year. Her Aunt Layna, the headmistress of Tennerson's has taken her in so she could finish high school. Missy Johnson did an amazing job with Always You. It was a heartwarming, and heart breaking story wrapped in one. The trials that Dalton and Wrenn have to go through is almost too much to bear. There is so much more that I want to say about this book but I don't want to give anything away. Once I started this book I honestly didn't want to put it down, I wanted to push through and find out what all happens to Dalton and Wrenn. Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock sent this to me for an honest review and I will say it is a good read for 18 and up. I will recommend others to read this.

Missy delivers a heart wrenching love story that will capture your heart and soul. This story found its way into my heart and will stay with me always. It made me remember that our days are numbered, we should always live life to the fullest, and that everyday we have on this earth is a blessing. This story is not what you think it is. It is not a typical hot for teacher romance. It is so much more than that. Dalton and Wrenn were destined to be together. She changed his life when she was only seven years old and gave him the strength to live even if his life might be cut short due to a disease he may or may not have. Wrenn "I just don't get why you would worry about maybe getting sick, especially when it wouldn't happen for ages. You can't change it, so what good is worrying going to do?" Those words changed Dalton's life. He had to live even if it was only for today. Missy reminds us that life has to go on. No matter what kind of tragedy comes our way we have to learn from it and hope that our experience makes us a better person and gives us the opportunity to help someone else someday who might be going though something similar. This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review. I am so thankful that Missy came into my life at I time when I needed this story to get through my own tragedy. This book has given me a new outlook on life. I am going to have to pick up my bootstraps and be strong because I have two children that need me to be. Thank you Missy for writing this story. Always You is an amazing feel good story that will inspire you.

Review Of Always You By Missy Johnson Missy Johnson is a new to me author but after reading Always You I will be reading a lot more of her books. I know student/teacher relations is a very taboo subject but I liked the fact that Missy wasn't afraid to tackle this subject. I don't agree with Teachers and Students dating per se but when there is only a few years age difference between them, that is when it becomes a gray area for me (when the student is 18 at least). Dalton Reed is a twenty three year old fresh out of college. His dream job is to teach young minds and that is what he intends to do at Tennerson Girls Academy. Never in his wildest dreams did Dalton ever imagine what was about to happen to him. Wrenn has had a tough break and has had to go live with her aunt Layna. As if that wasn't bad enough Wrenn also has to go to Tennerson Girls Academy because her aunt is headmistress. If it wasn't for Kassia, Wrenn's stay at the Academy might be more tortuous then it already was. What Wrenn didn't realize is that her world was about to change once it collided with her new History teacher Mr. Dalton Reed. I would say more but I don't want to give too much of this story away and ruin it for someone else. I will say this Always You brought tears to my eyes so you may want to have tissues handy when you read this book. This book kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what could happen next. On a scale from 1-10 I give Always You a 10. It was an AWESOME read and I could not put it down once I started reading it. If you are looking for a story with forbidden love, intrigue, mean girls, or a good tearjerker than Always You is the book for you. I encourage EVERYONE adult 18+ to go pick up a copy of Always You and challenge you not to root for Wrenn and Dalton.
