From The Critics
Reviewer: David O. Staats, MD(University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center)Description: This book discusses Alzheimer's disease, its nature, treatment, need for care, and its legal and financial ramifications.
Purpose: The purpose of this book is to provide basic information about Alzheimer's disease.
Audience: The audience targeted is both clinicians and caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease.
Features: This book has some x-rays that are misleading and references inappropriate for a lay audience.
Assessment: This book falls short of the mark; it is too basic for clinicians and in some places too technical for a lay audience. By far the best feature is the discussion of legal and financial aspects of caring for the demented. This may be the clearest, most succinct presentation extant on this topic.
