Read an Excerpt

Scott C. notes some things you will find in Amazing Everything:

There are monsters in this book, so do not freak out— but to balance that out, there is an equal amount of cute things as well.
There are friends enjoying each other’s company, but there are also awkward moments that must make us reflect on our own relationships.
You might find some amazing hats in this book and some beautiful plant life. You may discover the secrets of ancient Egypt and the age of gallant knights.
You may also come across those who enjoy the timber life.
You may find zombies and ninjas, because they are quite popular right now and may forever be popular.
There are cavemen in this book and dinosaurs that would like to be friends with these cavemen.
There are some rainbows in this book.
There are great houses in this book. You will see the glory of the residents that live in these houses and catch a glimpse of where they eat, sleep, and go hot tubbing.
There is fighting in this book. I will not lie. I wish there were not, but the world is full of fighting, and I must document it for you. So that we may learn from it. Learn fighting moves, mostly.
There is pizza in this book. Quite a lot of pizza, actually.
There are people hugging in this book. Beware. If you do not like hugging, you may want to shield your eyes in those parts.
There are a couple of goats in this book.
There is a map in this book that will teach you about maps. So get ready to learn about maps.

There is so much more in this book that you’ll have to read it . . .

    Love this Book!

Great book...wonderful collection of Scott C.'s works of art. My children and I have spent a lot of time fascinated with all the little delightful details put into his drawings and paintings. As a fan of author/artists (like Peter Sis) who include little "surprises" for those of us who are willing to slow down and really observe carefully, I can tell you this book is truly a gem!

Super-charming - sure to bring a smile to everyone's face (even to the grumpiest of souls).

I adore this book. It's too bad that online shoppers can't just take the book in their hands and leaf through its pages. The world contained in the book is a most whimsical, charmed place - it is filled with page after page of all sorts of adorable creatures doing funny things in funny settings, or doing (supposedly) scary things in a most endearing way. The use of more muted, earth-tone colors throughout the book is wonderful. They beautifully balance out the sweetness of the images and give the book a very warm and intimate, even slightly nostalgic, feel (even as the creatures are doing crazy things alien to most humans!). The book will have a big appeal to children too: I think that kids will have a lot of fun playing in the world of Scott C.'s images - it will stir up their imagination and allow parents to engage in some really fun dialogue with them. A big thumbs up to this lovely gem of a book!
