This volume is a very good and efficient summary of many major elements of Jewish history....It is well-suited as an introductory text of Jewish history, and the Glossary and Index are quite useful.
Rabbi Vernon Kurtz
Rabbi Ron Isaacs has written a most informative and enjoyable book. The reader will appreciate the knowledge that is attained and will be entertained by the many curiosities that Rabbi Isaacs has selected. This is a book that should find itself on the bookshelves of those who are both learned and relatively new to the study of Judaism.
Rabbi Jack Riemer
There is something that will inform and surprise the reader on almost every page of this book. Rabbi Isaacs has explored the backwoods and has wandered off the beaten track of the Jewish tradition in order to find these unusual facts and these little-known insights that he brings together in this fascinating book. I learned from it, and so will you.
RAbbi Bernhard H. Rosenberg
This wonderful publication serves as a marvelous teaching tool for Jewish adult-education classes. Rabbi Isaacs reveals numerous Jewish facts that the average Jewish reader might not otherwise discover.
