Overview

With a gentle nudge (Tell me about it) or a simple question (And then what happens?) a child can create unique moments in time and design a world of fantasy that adults have long forgotten. Amazingly Wonderful Things will take your child on a delightful journey across a sea of pink and blue cotton candy to the top of a Ferris wheel made of diamonds and up a rainbow in a new pair of jelly-bean shoes.

This lavishly illustrated book sparks the imagination as a young girl dances in the stardust, races a supernova, and chases fire-breathing dragons across the sky. When the door to a child's imagination is opened and their creativity is set free every child is capable of Amazingly Wonderful Things. All we have to do is watch . . . and listen.

Children's Literature - Carlee Hallman
A light brown skinned girl with a frizzy hairdo and wings on her back is shown with her dachshund and doll enjoying physical activities while imagining much more. In each picture she wears a different outfit. The girl looks determined as she runs along a shore of colored sprinkles. She wears a jacket over an orange scalloped skirt with black and white striped tights and holds a wand. Her doll is in the grass. The text reads: "I can race a supernova. Supernova racing is like sprinting along a beach of rainbow sprinkles." In another picture she kneels on a red petal in the air. Brownish feathers float all around. Her doll also floats on a petal. She wears striped pants with a team t-shirt. The dog holds the wand in his teeth while holding onto a tire swing. The last page shows the girl lying in the grass with a happy smile and with the dog licking her face. She wears ear-muffs, a purple poke-a-dot sweater, and jeans. The wand and doll lie in the grass. Children will let their imaginations take off as they enjoy this book. Reviewer: Carlee Hallman
