Rolling Stone - Jon Caramanica
A hypnotic, lush excursion into ambient music (which was until then more a concept than a genre) that gave birth to a million electronic musicians.

    Atmospheric and gentle...

Those are the things that one looks for in Ambient music. This is the first in a series of 4 Ambient albums that Brian Eno (who is the father of ambient music, this album being the first to be dubbed as such) made. Though it is odd to recommend an Ambient album, for those who want to explore the genre start with this album, highly recommendable.
