Overview

A startling novella that tells the story of a religious war hero, Wing Commander Kine Ycer who is handsome, charismatic and something of an enigma after surviving twenty-two years of a devastating interplanetary war. When he returns to his home city, a virtual ghost town, depopulated by weapons designed only to kill people and not to destroy plants, animals or property, he meets a strikingly beautiful young priestess. Struggling with his faith and trying to cope mentally with the violence he inflicted during the war, the innocence and youthful spirit of the Priestess Lisi Ambi brings him a sense of peace; however, repercussions from the war hit the commander in a way no weapon ever could. Variant themes of faith, sex and politics explored in this sci-fi universe are striking; sure to leave you thinking long after you've read it.
