Tongue in cheek modern western romance pairs up a suicidal cowboy and a failing fairy godmother. The rancher was wrongfully accused but eventually acquitted of murdering his first true love. Will the struggling cowbow recognize and fall in love with the ever cheerful but bumbling fairy godmother turned mortal who shows up on his doorstep in answer to the ad for a housekeeper, an ad he never placed? The characters come across as charicatures, and best humor is in the asides by Sunny's superior godmothers that poke fun at famous failed historical romances and fairy tales. Written in 1996, this one doesn't really stand the test of time. OK for a fluff afternoon read, but the settings, characters, plot and dialogue just aren't enough to warrant a save for rereading.
