René Laubach is the past director of Mass Audubon’s Berkshire Wildlife Sanctuaries and has led tours in the United States and internationally. The author of seven book on natural history, he has also co-authored AMC’s Best Day Hikes in Connecticut and has published articles in Audubon, Sanctuary, and AMC Outdoors. He lives in Becket, MA.
