His obsession with A.E. changes when Amelia Adams, a young, mysterious Amerasian, linked to A.E. by more than name, walks into his life. She spurs his passion, but accuses him of killing her father, Vincent's chief mechanic at Lockheed. Meet the Author

A pharmacist licensed in three states, Harvey Mendez lives with his wife, Ann in Southern California. He has co-authored a screenplay and has six short stories, two essays, one poem, and six novels published.

His novel, AMELIA, is a best seller and placed fourth in a national contest and was a finalist in the EPPIE 2003 contest. THE BEAR AND THE BULL won first place as a short story in 1986.

He belongs to the Lagunita Writers Group in Laguna Beach, California and the Cherokee Village Writers Guild in Arkansas.


Christie Shary is married, lives in Dana Point, California, and has a BA degree in English. She has had short stories and poetry published. She has completed four other novels and has been employed as a professional writer for a large Orange Country, California corporation. She also belongs to the Lagunita Writers Group in Laguna Beach, Ca.
