Lilywolf to Horseclan - Clan Meeting IMPORTANT!

The light gray tabby shecat races over to the high log and scrambles up until she stands at the top. Her outline is tinged in silver as she yowls, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the high log for a clan meeting!" She watches the surprised faces of her clanmates gather below her and bows her head at the thought of telling them. Most surprised seems to be Velvetetar, who has emerged from the nursery with her kits. Lilywolf gives her a nod and begins, "Horseclan, I believe I have several pieces of news that I must tell you and none of it is good." The tabby pauses to take a deep breath and steady herself before continuing, "Wolfheart is dead." The shecat flinches at the cries of grief that come from the cats below her but mostly from Rosepetal. Lilywolf desperately wants to comfort her sister and so, without caring that everyone else can hear, she meows, "Rosie, our mommy loves you so much and she is still watching over us. She's keeping Icy company. It was just her time. We'll get to see her again someday. Don't you worry about that." The tabby's ice blue eyes glisten with tears for her mother and sister but she refuses to let them fall. Instead she unsheaths her claws, grips the rock, and continues, "But I have more to share... I don't know how t say this but Goldenstripe... he... he left... and he isn't coming back." Pain wracks Lilywolf's body and her tears fall with the added sorrow of her mate's departure. The tabby looks at Velvetstar and croaks, "I am sorry Velvetstar. I tried to make him stay but you know he's stubborn..." The shecat gazes at the clan. "He felt so bad about how he acted when controlled by Shadowstar. He... he's convinced he is dangerous and wants to protect everyone." "Especially me." The third in command shakes the thought away and meows, "But don't worry. I am going to go get him and bring him home." "Or die trying." The tabby thinks. Looking again at Velvetstar, the shecat murmers, "Velvetstar you have kits and the clan needs you. They cannot lose both their deputy and leader. But I will go after him. Everyone will need to help keep things orderly while I am away and help Velvetstar out as much as possible." The mother's gaze falls on Doepaw as she speaks her next words. "And Doepaw will come with me. After all Goldenstripe was her mentor and it will be good experience for her." Lilywolf flashes both Velvetstar and Doepaw a warning look not to argue. With Darkfang on the prowl, intent on brainwashing her daughter, Lilywolf had no intention of leaving Doepaw behind. "Also there is a strange tom by the name of Darkfang roaming our territory. He is extremely dangerous and should be attacked on sight. That is all." The third in command jumps down from the high log and pads over to Velvetstar. "I'm sorry. I should have told you before the meeting but there is no time. He is already a day ahead of us and if his scent fades we'll never find him. But I'll bring him back. I promise." Touching noses with the white shecat, Lilywolf turns to Icefire, Cloudripple, Rosepetal, Wolfsun, Shellpool, Cometstorm, Smokerise, Larkfrost, Cougareye, Rainsplash, and Mistyrose. "I love you all." She meows, her voice taunt with emotion. "Please stay safe while I'm gone. I'll try to return soon." Giving each a nuzzle, Lilywolf turns and pads to the clearing to collect Doepaw. They had to leave at once. ~ Lilywolf &hearts

    Flowernose & Halfpaw

"Pridepaw! Seapaw! Goldenpaw! Halfpaw! Deerpaw! Fernmist! Owlstrike!" Flowernose cheered for all the new apprentices and warriors. She was suprised when Velvetstar announced her, the medicine cat, as one of the cats controlling patrols and such, but accepted the responsibility with gratitude and honor.
Halfkit bounced over to touch noses with Mistyrose, purring.
(Yay! Pottytraining puppies is most rewarding task on the planet! No more pee in my room! :))))

A pair of glittering amber eyes penatrated the back of the clan's pelts. His thoughts really in the tom's mind. "The clan is on high alert for me, but young minds are still vulnerable. If I can get Doepaw to relent to my teachings, then I just might be able to get all." Darkfang thought, then pulled away from the underbrush. His eyes glittering like the color of freshly spilled blood. "It's is about time I finished what my son started," he snarled to himself, then the Dark Forest cat vanished.

Doepaw sat still beside the Highlog, her gaze guarded from others. When she announced that she was going with her, a dark jolt ran through the apprentice. Doepaw slowly raised her steely glare to her mother, a scowl on her face. "I don't want anything to do with you, and especially Goldwnstripe," she snarled. She knew that she couldn't get away from the clan by herself, but she spotted a fair of blazing red eyes and instantly felt comforted. "He's watching over me," she thought, and warmth spread through her.

Velvetstar to Horseclan~ Clan Meeting (Finaly!!!)

Velvetstar eventually found a moment to mentally get everything together and headed for the High Log. She felt guilty for letting the clan go so long without a meeting. Once at the top, she called for the clan to gather and waited patiently as her clanmates grouped together. "I'm so glad to see you're all okay and things are still moving as they should be. I'll get right to the ceremonies, I know you're all dying to get them! Deerkit, Pridekit, Halfkit, Goldenkit, and Seakit, please come forward!" Velvetstar set aside the tangle of emotions left from the past few moons and found happiness for each of her kits. She smiled proudly at both them and Deerkit, who's past she wasn't sure of. "You all are old enough to begin your training as a warrior of Horseclan. Take your training seriously, heed the advice of your mentors, and always work at advancing your clan. You will now be known as Pridepaw, Springbrook's apprintice; Seapaw, Cometstorm's apprintice; Goldenpaw, Rainspash's apprintice; Halfpaw, Mistyrose's apprintice; and Deerpaw, my apprintice!" Velvetstar was unsure how well she could train an apprintice with all the drama going on, but she was running out of capable warriors and wanted to get to know Deerpaw. Sh jumped down and touched her nose gently with the new apprintice's, giving a slight nod before she returned to the High Log. "Next, Fernpaw and Owlpaw, please come forward. Your warriors names are long overdue and your patience is only another reason you show you are ready to recieve your names. So, from here on out you will be known as Fernmist and Owlstrike! Honor both Starclan and the warrior code at all times, and may Starclan light your paths!" Velvetstar waited while the clan cheered for their new warriors. "I'd also like to announce the arrival of two new warriors, Moondust and Blacklion!" Velvetstar gave a moment for cheering before she continued. "Lastly, I don't want to spend too much time on it, but since Goldenstripe is gone and I have no way of knowing if he's coming back, I'll need extra help from you all. If we need a new deputy, I know you'd all agree it should be Lilywolf, but until she's home, Cometstorm and Flowernose will be in charge of keeping patrols going and acepting new members when I'm gone." Velvetstar gave a trusting glance towards her nephew and Horseclan's medicine cat. "We will make it through this in one piece if we all cooperate and are understanding, always take care of each other. Loyalty should be at the heart of every clan..." Velvetstar went quiet and dipped her head in conclusion, sadness clouding her gaze again. -Velvetstar- (Finally done!!!! I'm sure I missed something or someone, feel free to hate me forever lol :p)

    Rainsplash

Rainsplash let out a purr and touched noses with Goldenpaw, an equal rush of excitement and worry washing through him. "I'll train you the best I can!" He tried to say with utter confidence, but it came out with more awkward than anything. Blinking hard in annoyance at himself, he cheered the other apprentices.
