Overview

What does President Barack Obama mean when he says he’s working for gun control “under the radar”?

You’ll find the answer in this book.

America Disarmed shows you how Obama and the United Nations are teaming up to make their gun ban dream – and your nightmare – a reality.

This expertly sourced sequel to Wayne LaPierre’s 2006 blockbuster, The Global War on Your Guns, exposes the Obama administration’s scheme to use the United Nations to make an end-run around the Constitution.

International anti-gun activists want to force America to license firearms owners; severely restrict all firearm purchases; destroy certain firearms deemed “unauthorized”; ban commonly owned semi-automatic rifles; and join an international gun registry.

In 2009 the Obama administration endorsed the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty Resolution to establish an international conference on gun sales and ownership.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Under Secretary for Arms Control told the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace: “We will work between now and the U.N. Conference in 2012 to negotiate a legally binding Arms Trade Treaty, and we’ll need your help in achieving it. We have made that a fundamental policy commitment.”

In 2012, leaders from around the world – many of them human rights violators, dictators and despots – will convene and draft an international law aimed squarely at your right to own, sell, purchase or carry a firearm.

NRA has been warning Americans about this threat for years – now the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty is on our doorstep.

In his leadership position, Mr. LaPierre conducts the affairs of an over 3.5 million member association through a staff of over 550 employees with an annual budget of over $120 million.

Under the direction of a 76-member board of directors, he is responsible for implementing NRA policy as well as serving as president of the National Firearms Museum Fund and trustee of the NRA Foundation. An avid sport shooter, he holds an executive position with the North American Wetlands Conservation Council, the world's largest wildlife program, and officiates each year at NRA events nationwide.

Mr. LaPierre joined the staff in 1978, as a state liaison in the NRA Institute for Legislative Action, the lobbying arm of the Association. Initially responsible for a 10-state region, he was promoted twice in two years and named the Director of State & Local Affairs in 1979. The next year he accepted a position as the Director of Federal Affairs, where he was responsible for the planning and execution of all NRA initiatives before Congress and the executive branch.

In 1986, Mr. LaPierre was again promoted to Executive Director of NRA-ILA. It was in this position that he took to the forefront as the leader and spokesperson for all NRA legislative activities at every level of government.

Wayne LaPierre serves on the board of directors of the American Association of Political Consultants. He holds a master's degree in American government and politics from Boston College and a bachelor's degree in education and political science from Siena College in New York.

After accepting his current position in 1991, Mr. LaPierre became the chief national spokesperson for the National Rifle Association which, under his leadership, has achieved the most dramatic growth in membership since NRA was founded in 1871.

    Please read!!

Utter nonsense! Although, I must say that the author is very talented and smart to take advantage of paranoid, delusional people. It would have been even smarter to charge for the book and profit off their sheer stupidity and lack of any meaningful knowledge of anything!

    Well done

I think this book represents the problems we are facing today. A lot of people ignore the signs, but the book is based on true events and facts. If someone chooses to call it paranoid or conspiracy, well don't forget that Nazi Germany disarmament of the Jews was also perceived as paranoid, until it was too late. Those Jews who didn't put down their weapons in most cases survived and those who did, well we know what happened. If history teaches us anything, don't ever take anything for granted and if we are allowed to defend ourselves, then we are not suppose to listen to some bull that comes out of UN. This book is well written, by someone who knows and backs the opinions by facts and events from recent history. America is not for sale and we are not suppose to pretend that some nation in Africa or UN can demand what we do here. If some administration can sell us out, then we are no longer a Republican, run by our laws. We have our own constitution and our own laws. Americans love America. If someone does not, then they don't belong here. They can choose the country that suits them better.

    Not worth reading

This book is nothing but an echo chamber, if your into massive conspiracy theories, it feeds your fears. It doesn't even pretend to analyze the real issues. Not worth your time, even though it' free!

    Logic

If people have no guns only crooks will have them. Crime will go up. The goverment could do whatever it wants. The reason we have the second ammendment is so we can rise uagainst a dictator. Imagine if all the passengeron those 4 flights on 9/11 had guns with them...

    Highly recommended

I find it interesting how the countries with the most to lose by their own citizen want to have control over us. This book is informative and infighting. I think the USA needs to get out of the UN and end the free loading from countries that come here and want our money but want us as a country to cease to exist. They can't have it both ways. I also think that people from outside the US should not have right to lobby or come here and put down our country and our history. They should be deported back to their country. If they knew our history then they would know why GUN ownership was written in to our Constitution. It protects us from the government acting as if they were a king and we there sub servants. The government is there to protect and serve the citizen. The UN has out lived its usefulness.

A must read for anyone who loves the USA!

Loaded with quotes from liberals and facts about the liberal agendas. This book has left me chilled to the bone! The Clintons and Obamas have our rights on the chopping block with Soros and the UN behind them! They are the real enemies of the state.
