    Brass Bash

John Lambert's Gramercy Brass Orchestra is one of the top wind groups in the country. This CD is well crafted technically and the playing is superb. Of special note is cornet soloist Max Morden doing a terrific turn on the piccolo solo to Stars and Stripes. The low brass sound, particularly that of the euphoniums is rich, sonorous and expressive. Wow!

    True American Spirit

Wow! What a great sounding group. This CD is full of American Spirit and really brings that patriotic feeling. For beauty and power, check out the gorgeous playing on "Amazing Grace". This recording will have you tapping your toes, singing along, and reflecting on life as an American. I highly recommend this.

    Pure Americana

What a sound this band puts out. If you are in to patriotism, you will love this disc. From the rollicking marches to the hauntingly beautiful and powerful version of ''Amazing Grace'', this is true spirit. You don't hear too many American brass bands make a joyful noise like this and it is a pleasure to hear these instruments played as they were meant to be played. We can only hope for another CD to be released that shows a different side of this group. I have experienced this band in concert and you should too, if ever possible.
