Meet the Author

I have always written about--and lived--a life that revolves around what I call "the three Ms": motorcycles, music and the martial arts.
I have been a proud part of the American biker culture since 1965; I own a Kenpo Karate studio in Torrance, California; and I'm the bassist for the long-running blues band, Give Me Back My Wig.

My associates and I have been honored by the success of "The Original Wild Ones" and the first volume of our DVD series, "Bikers: The Inner Circle."

This is actually quite a bit better than Hayes' book about The Boozefighters MC. American Biker gives some good insight into the world of motorcycle clubs and bikers. It gives a pretty good history of the lifestyle with plenty of cultural references. There doesn't seem to be any good concise book about motorcycle club culture and protocol. Instead you have to read a number of books by various authors to try and get a complete idea of the life and what you may run into when crossing paths. All in all this is well written, flows well and has some good nuggets of information scattered throughout.
