    Fascinating reading.

"Civil War Extras" apps includes supplemental news articles, for the history buff, that were written during a specific month and year. (For example, this month's news was published during October 1862.) The articles are presented in a day-by-day format. Each day displays a different list of titles from which choices can be made.

The Extras are supposed to be used in conjunction with the main app called "The American Civil War Gazette". It has the same day-by-day format with an article list. Included on the list are titles that can only be read, when you buy the "Extras" app for that month/year. Buy the main one first. Then, spend the 99 cents to buy the Extras app for the additional titles of interest.

The primary application has teaser articles called "Extras" that have to be purchased separately. They are worth it, to me, for historical purposes. And they are only 99 cents each.

The tutorial & hint pages are helpful and useful. They are mostly self-explanatory and do not require an advanced college degree to understand. Once the reader is comfortable, navigating the database in not very difficult.

My suggestions for ease-of-use would include:
    1) Adding a search function for titles or keywords,
    2) To correct the obvious spelling errors and mis-prints.

One missing letter or wrong word can change the meaning of the sentence entirely. This problem desperately needs to be addressed in all of the ACWG apps.

    Love it.

This is a piece of lost history. There are misspellings, but i can only imagine the condition of 150 year old newspapers, printed on cheap paper during wartime. At one point the Rockingham Register was being printed on brown butcher's paper because paper was so scarce.
