- Richmond was taken on May 9 by Gen. Keyes via Yorktown, with "The National Flag Floating Over the Rebel Capital"

"The statements of correspondents ignorant of the real facts, or writing in the interests of particular commands, too often form the basis of newspaper comments and of public opinion in regard to military operations; and events follow so rapidly on the heels of each other that first impressions rarely give way to more correct views founded on authentic accounts."
- J. A. Early to the Richmond Enquirer, May 11, 1863

- Death of Stonewall Jackson from wounds at Chancellorsville

- Chancellorsville Campaign concludes
- Most newspaper refer to it as "the Battles on the Rappahannock" or "the Battles at Fredericksburgh"

    American Civil War Gazette

I enjoy reading these articles each month, however, I am getting sick and tired of trying to find just which spot that you have stuck each new month's edition in. I am also tired of each new month's edition not being available for several days into the new month. If these conditions continue, I am going to consider cancelling my subscription. These things have been happening ever since you began to carry this app.
