All Music Guide - MacKenzie Wilson
Wakefield's American Made moves slightly beyond the tousled look and sound of new-millennium punk-pop for a crunchy rock style all their own. Sure, it's easy to throw 'em in with New Found Glory and the like, but Wakefield isn't as silly in presentation. The brothers Escolopio offer a smart set of songs, while the double team of J.D. Tennyson guitar and Mike Schoolden bass tightly weave a gnarly mold. From the sugary pop of "Un-Sweet Sixteen" and "Girls Rock" to the post-grunge romp of "Give Me a Reason," Wakefield's party-like energy never fades. "Goodbye" sticks with that adolescent anti-conformist way of thinking without being too repetitive and captures Wakefield's thoughtful disposition in the process. Ryan Escolopio's boyish vocals are a touch unconvincing, but as a whole Wakefield doesn't overdo the punk-inspired rock thing. American Made is a decent album and simple enough to win over some pop kids who are tired of what's hot on the charts.

    Wakefield Rox My Sox

Wakefield is a great band, and even though their CD is really awesome, it sounds even better live when they are right in front of you rocking out. So buy this CD, cuz they're super nice guys with awesome music. What else could you ask for?

    Wakefield Rocks

The new American Made cd from Wakefield is really great. There's a good variety of music for everyone to enjoy. It's got the upbeat songs and the slow ones as well. Anyone who likes bands like Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, and Simple Plan should really check them out along with everyone else. It's a great cd from a great new band. Wakefield rocks!!!!

    Wow...

I absolutely am in love with this band. I never heard them before, and I decided to pick up their cd on a whim, and Wakefield is now my new favorite band. They really have their own sound. I love the jokey songs like "Infamous" or "Sold Out" but the whole cd is a treasure. Just when I was getting sick of all the cds I have, this one totally struck me by surprise. Buy it! <3 Stacie

    A Good Buy

The boys of Wakefield put out an impressive Cd. Not only is it catchy and upbeat but it also deals with modern day problems such as girls, selling out and painful losses. The crisp guitar riffs and captivating lyrics from songs like "Say you Will" and "Infamous", easily get the listener hooked. If you're the type of person who doesn't like buying cds because you don't want to waste money on something you may not listen to, you don't have to worry about American Made. Do yourself a musical favor and go out and buy American Made by Wakefield.

This is well worth the price

Definitely a great cd from a great band. They aren't well know - i heard them first when they opened at a small concert I was at - but they are definitely better than many more popular bands out there. If you like great punk music where you can listen to all the songs on the cd, then buy this cd...it is GREAT!
