I have quite a few books that deal with military planes. So I'm always look for a new approach on the subject. While at B & N looking for a way to spend my gift card I stumbled this title. It only took a quick look at a few of it's pages to know I had to have this book. I enjoyed the lay-out of the pages. I liked the 'photo file' section. It was the first time I had seen some of the different variation of the planes. Also the 'combat data' on how it compares simular planes. Overall it is a very good book. I do have one problem with the book, it's rather baffling omittion of any military combat data or photos for the North American B-25 Mitchell. It does have a very interesting lay out on the planes post war years as a camera platform for the motion picture industry. Not to have any mention of this planes role in WWII is a shame. Any youngsters getting this book would not learn of the Dolittle's daring raid on Japan, and that would be sad. Ok, with that being said I highly recommend this book. Was this review helpful?
