Spurred on by George Bush's unofficial adoption of "God Bless the USA" as the new American anthem, Lee Greenwood recorded American Patriot in the midst of the President's ultimately unsuccessful re-election campaign in 1992. American Patriot sealed Greenwood's stance as American songteller extraordinaire. In other words, if you've been a fan of "God Bless the USA" since its first incarnation in the early '80s, you'll be happy with this full-blown sequel.

    AWESOME for my class!

I purchased this CD without knowing the AMAZING songs on it. I play it EVERY day in my kindergarten class. My kinders LOVE it and it's upbeat spirit. That's right all you unpatriotic fools....I play it in a PUBLIC school...don't like it? There's always alternative schools. :) The Great Defenders song is tops.

    Timeless Songs For Anytime

From the first day I played this CD till now, it's been a #1 request from my family. Now, more than ever, America has turned to music for comfort of mind, spirit, body and soul. This is the CD that makes it happen. Every song has been heard before. Every song has been sung before. Lee Greenwood sings these very special songs from the heart. Whether in the car or in the home, these songs for America are sure to bring a tear to your eye - now more than ever. A must for ANY music library!

    The Ultimate Patriotic Album!

I've always loved ''God Bless the U.S.A.... Proud to be an American'' and this album has that as well as ''This Land is Your Land'' and other great patriotic songs! It even has the Pledge of Allegiance and a beautiful explanation of what it means.
