This book is not written by any one person. This actually surprised many of my high school class mates who couldn't understand how anyone could find this book to be fun. This book has been put together by editors Ronald J. Pestritto and William J. Atto. The two of them together combined writings, speeches, etc. from a number of different progressive politicians, activists, and theorists. These pieces are good for understanding the mindset of the creators. Whether you agree or not with what is being said, it is always good to know a little more about the subject. This book will provide you with that "little more" and then even more to top it off. It took me a while to read because the pages are a little bigger and the words rather small, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

This is a must read for anybody who wants to understand what a progressive is. And what large effect they have had, and are having on American politics. This book can be a little hard to read but, it is worth the extra effort. It is very well researched and has the sources for all its facts, information, and writings. Please since this issue is so important, read this book.
