American Quest is a rousing contemporary fantasy filled with great characters, passionate relationships, and epic drama. It tells the story of two lovers, Bruce and Gloria, whose intense passions for life and for each other has made them unwitting pawns in a cosmic battle between forces for good and evil. Gloria is captured by Enervata, a demonic spirit with the darkest intentions. To save her, Bruce must embark on a quest across America, armed with only the scantest of clues, to collect the Four Pillars of Humanity before he can battle Enervata. Several people join him on his quest, including his best friend, a rocker, a stand-up comedienne, a little old Italian lady, an old-beyond-her-years child, and a strangely visionary fortuneteller. The questers face challenges from Enervata's minions at every turn and struggle mightily to uncover the Pillars...all the while unsure of Gloria's fate.

American Quest is at once an imagination-stirring fantasy, a moving love story, and an endearing tale of friendship and sacrifice.

Editorial Reviews

Single Title
The world has been waiting for a story like this, an unbelievable, edge of your seat fantasy thriller.
Genre Go Round Reviews
Sienna Skyy soars with this stupendous opening saga.
—Harriet Klausner
Library Journal

When Gloria is possessed by Enervata, a dark demonic spirit, her fiancé, Bruce, joins with his best friend, who holds his own secret, and a disparate group of companions to embark on a journey that takes them across the United States in search of the Four Pillars of Humanity, which will give Bruce the power to battle the demon and rescue his beloved. Skyy (a pseudonym for an established author of supernatural romance) brings her storytelling skill and gift for creating engagingly likable characters to this series launch. Chosen as the vanguard novel for a new publishing company founded by former Avon and Berkley publisher Lou Aronica, who also founded HarperCollins's Eos sf imprint, and agent Peter Miller, this modern-day fantasy is a good choice for most fantasy collections.

    Perfection...

    Sienna Skyy
The Story plant, 2008
ISBN: 9780981608709
Reviewed by Debra Gaynor for ReviewYourBook.com, 10/08
5 Stars
Perfection¿
Gloria and Bruce were deeply in love. Demon, Enervate, took human form and captured Gloria. He attempts to seduce her and turn her to the dark side. If she turns, it is the end of mankind. Determined to rescue his love, Bruce travels across the states. The fate of humanity rests on his mission. He knows he must collect the Four Pillars of Humanity but does not know what they are. Along with his companions, he faces danger and evil.
How could I have over looked author, Sienna Skyy? She writes with authority and expertise that usually comes with years and years of experience. American Quest is the beginning of a new series. The characters and plot are exquisite. The flow is perfection, and the action does not stop. This is a must read! Fans of fantasy, romance, fiction, and drama will be mesmerized by American Quest.

    an exciting urban fantasy

The Auxilium and the Pravus are at a sort of tug of war with humanity as the rope. The former tries to help mankind become all the species can be while the latter works on the fall of people by eradicating any residual decency. The battleground is usually balanced but rarely a particular person is born who will bring goodness or vileness to all in their circle.

In that environs engaged lovers Bruce and Gloria are the latest hostages in this eternal battle. The Pravus Macul spirit Enervata has taken demonic possession of Gloria. Bruce is her only hope and he despairs on whether he is up to the quest. He is joined by allies who search for the Four Pillars of Humanity, which if found and activated will enable Bruce to fight to the death Enervata.

AMERICAN QUEST is an exciting urban fantasy in which the audience will want to join the trek across the country. Bruce is a terrific hero willing to die to save the life of his beloved; others also sacrifice to assist him on his impossible quest. The background mythos is cleverly introduced as an interwoven part of the excellent story line. Sienna Skyy soars with this stupendous opening saga.

Harriet Klausner
