I purchased this dictionary to help with projects in my second year ASL class. There were some words that I needed that weren't in there at all, and some had the outdated sign. When I showed it to my teacher after he took points off for me using the wrong sign, he explained to me that it was the old sign and nobody uses it anymore. (this was for the word professional) I got the points back, but I would suggest purchasing a newer version if you are looking for and English/ASL dictionary.

If you want to know a lewd way to sign virgin, or want to know four ways to sign homosexual this is the book for you. Want things like colors? Numbers? Sorry. This was a waste of money because now I must buy another.

I've only recently lost my hearing within the past few years; however, this dictionary has provided me with a great deal of help. It is easy to understand and utilize for everyday language.

This book has been a tremendous help for me during this period of learning ASL. Yes, there is a mixture of both English and ASL words, but if you use the legend at the beginning of the book, you can decipher the difference. Great tool!
