This unauthorized history of these Texas-based gridiron gladiators tracks the first half century of a combine that continues to dazzle its fans and bedevil the opposition. You can't ignore the Cowboys and their fans. According to Forbes, the Cowboys are highest valued sports franchise in U.S. history. Take that, New York Yankees.

This official history is expansive but a bit airbrushed for such a colorful franchise that has had a well-publicized darker side, too. The book is enlivened by a wealth of new interviews telling of the team's story, and each chapter includes a separate essay from a different voice, such as Steve Sabol writing on the origins of the "America's Team" moniker. Of course, as an "official" history, there's an essay from former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue on the greatness of owner Jerry Jones. The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders get a whole chapter! Additional features include a golden anniversary team selected for this book, special inserts of replica memorabilia, pieces on each Super Bowl champion, an abundance of sidebar interviews, and a profusion of striking photographs. A surprising omission: there are no sections for statistics and records.     Never buy from this website!

    Delayed shipping...was never shipped when was told it had. Book Destroyed in shipping. No customer service. Now I must drive over 2 hours to return this item. How can I trust them during a return if they can't get it right the first time. Buy from a different retailer!
