Boston GlobeThe prospective college student's antidote to the Princeton Review doldrums.

Many prospective students are unable to visit a college prior to choosing a college. Well, College Prowler's book on Amherst College is the next best thing to actually visiting the school. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This book was really helpful for me in deciding whether to go to Amherst College. The writing was engaging and interesting. There was a good mix of facts and opinions. The students quotes were great - it's like having numerous conversations with students about the College without leaving your house. The book really touches upon everday things that set Amherst apart from other schools. Also, this is the only book I could find that discusses the drawbacks of Amherst - which is the one aspect that no one evey dares to talk about in other official or unofficial publications or information sessions. I loved that book! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
