Recommended for people who want to know about quinceaneras.

The theme of this book was a group of three best friends, Carmen, Jamie and Alicia who were planning Carmen's perfect quinceanera that will somhow combine her Jewish heritage and her Latin heritage somehow together, using their Amigas Inc. quinceanera planning company of Miami, Florida. Their roles are to come up with the best quinceanera possible to win the prize money from the T.V. competition Hoy en Miami! which they are participating in against and unlike school friend. All the while going on with their daily lives.
I like this book because it was a good stroy but it also had a lot of commonly used Spanish wods like members of the family, greetings, goodbye's and many others. It was helpful how when you didn't knowthe word in Spanish that you could tell from the sentence and figure it out. "well, you remember my abuela Ruben? My dad's mother?" From this boook it teaches you many simple Spanish vocabulary words throughout the book. Also in the beginning it explains what a quinceanera is and how it works. "There are seven damas, or girlfriends," "there are seven chambelanes, who are usually your guy friends or your family., The quince-makes nuber 15." Also throughout the book it explains how a quinceanera can be very expensive and difficult to plan and a lot of people spend a lot of time planning.
Overall I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a book that is both educational but in a regular story from. Also anyone that would want to know more informationon anything about quinceaneras shold read this book because it would probably answer many questions.
