Overview

When astro-archeologist and museum curator Dr. Lexa Carter discovers a secret map to a lost old Earth treasure-a priceless Fabergé egg-she's excited at the prospect of a treasure hunt to the dangerous desert planet of Zerzura. What she's not so happy about is being saddled with a bodyguard-the museum's mysterious new head of security, Damon Malik.

After many dangerous years as a galactic spy, Damon Malik just wanted a quiet job where no one tried to kill him. Instead of easy work in a museum full of artifacts, he finds himself on a backwater planet babysitting the most infuriating woman he's ever met.

She thinks he's arrogant. He thinks she's a trouble-magnet. But among the desert sands and ruins, adventure led by a young, brash treasure hunter named Dathan Phoenix, takes a deadly turn. As it becomes clear that someone doesn't want them to find the treasure, Lexa and Damon will have to trust each other just to survive.

A DESERT ROMANCE SPIRALS!! Among Galactic Ruins-The Phoenix Adventures-This series is steamy and action packed. This story features Alexa, a sexy, audacious, independent, astro-archeologist; Damon a sultry, gorgeous, dominant alpha male, and head of security at the Darend Museum; Dathan Phoenix an overly confident teen and treasure hunter. HORRIFIC DANGERS LURK IN THE DESERT SEARCH FOR THE FABERGE EGG!!! The cast of characters are convincing, impressive and engaging, the banter superb, scene descriptions are thrilling and breathtaking, story-line spectacular, pent-up rage, emotions spiral, life threatening incidents, camaraderie, riveting suspense, heart-throbbing pulsating romance, and a heart-warming conclusion that leaves you wanting more. INCREDIBLE fast paced exhilarating well written read by a gifted author. The suspense was spine-chilling and the romance sizzling. Alexa was fearless, Damon's unfading devotion and heroic deeds are definitely awe-inspiring, and Dathan proved to be an honorable guide through all the desert dangers. A most gratifying read-loved it from start to finish. If you relish stories with suspense and spine-tingling romance; this is definitely a terrific book for your library. In the world of fantasy romance the possibilities are illimitable but always fascinating. {I received an arc for a thoroughly truthful review}. This was an extremely intriguing and fascinating story about ancient history, hidden treasures, myths, danger and love, which I enjoyed reading very much. Lexa, a curator of the Darend Museum, finds an ancient vase in the archives, which gives her clues to the location of a famed Fabergé egg on Zerzura, the legendary planet full of danger, mystery and history. This egg is not just a symbol of new life, but of hope and growth. Together with Damon, the museum’s new head of security, and Dathan Phoenix, their guide, they begin an arduous journey to the Temple, but continually encounter mythical phenomena. There was something Lexa didn’t like about Damon; nevertheless, he kept her safe. When the Temple is eventually located, the danger is not over when they encounter a guardian following the wishes of the Orphic Priestesses; it is subsequently revealed that a new caretaker for the Temple and its treasures is required. The author has produced yet another exceptional book, which had lots of interesting twists and turns, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
