Overview

Victor Bayne, the psychic half a PsyCop team, is a gay medium who’s more concerned with flying under the radar than in making waves.

He hooks up with handsome Jacob Marks, a non-psychic (or “Stiff”) from an adjacent precinct at his ex-partner’s retirement party and it seems like his dubious luck has taken a turn for the better. But then a serial killer with a gruesome M.O. surfaces--and no one agrees what he looks like.

Solving murders is a snap when you can ask the victims whodunit, but this killer’s not leaving any spirits behind.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
This urban fantasy series follows psychic detective Victor Bayne and partner Jacob Marks in a world where psychic ability is accepted, if still a bit creepy. ... Victor is the psychic-he can talk to dead people-or, rather, they talk to him and at length. ... Fans of Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake books would enjoy this series with paranormal activity as well as romance. (Refers to print edition, PsyCop: Property.)

I Liked This Book A Lot

This is the first book in the PsyCop series. Although it is weaker than subsequent novels in the series, it is still good and serves as a strong introduction to the two main characters. The entire concept of a PsyCop is fascinating, especially as the author examines the parameters of what can and cannot be done by various psychic talents.

The characters are great, the storyline a bit weak, but I went on from this to read the entire series and really enjoyed them. If you enjoy the M/M genre, you'll probably really enjoy these too.

    Awesome Story!

After reading various M/M fiction on the 'net, I have to say I had pretty low expectations when buying this book.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to be so completely, utterly wrong in that initial assessment.

The story is compelling, the characters are well written (and likeable,) the sexual portions are appropriately HOT...

There really isn't anything to dislike in this... so much so that I have become a ravenous fan of Jordan Castillo Price.

I've read five of the PsyCop book so far.. and anxious to read the sixth, and then begin reading her other works.

    Oh my gosh!

I love this series. I wasn't really expecting much, but I'd seen some good things about it. I love ghosty tv shows but never really thought I'd get into the books. Boy was I wrong. This is well written, just enough romance to make me sigh, just enough mystery to keep me on the edge of my seat. Do yourself a favor. Read this series!

    Good, but...

I adore the way that Jacob and Vincent interact with each other, but at the same time, the storytelling is a bit rushed and some things are really only resolved in the most shallow of senses.
