En El dolor de tu ausencia Ramiro, solo y desnudo en un hotel, rememora otras ocasiones en que se encontraba en esa misma habitación con una mujer que ha decidido volver con su esposo. En Ritual del atardecer, un hombre espía a su hija haciendo el amor con desconocidos que se parecen cada vez más a él.
