For the last ten years, Gabriella Richards has struggled with the pain of losing the only man she's ever loved. From out of nowhere he returns to throw her life into chaos, and it isn't without consequences.

Hunter Bailey had always known he was different, but nothing could have prepared him for the truth. As the son of an archangel, he has been on the run for years from those who seek to wipe out his kindthe Nephilim. With a destiny unknown even to himself, nothing will stop him from returning to claim the woman he loves and the happily-ever-after he was promised.

Gabriella finally has the love of her life back, but at what cost? And will the enemy be able to break an archangel's promise?

This was the first paranormal romance book I have ever read so I was not sure what to expect but ended up pleasantly surprised. I was a little worried the plot would be so far fetched it would take away from the book, but the author did a nice job of keeping most of the book within the realm of possibilities. The main characters Gabriella and Hunter are not really defined very well. The help move the book forward, but you feel this disconnect with them throughout, like you never truly know them on a more personal level. There are a lot of intensely charged sexual scenes that I am sure are common for this genre, but it was a little much for my taste. For those who do judge a book by its cover this one does a very nice job of catching your eye and making you want to open it up and see whats inside..Overall the book was well wrote, the story flowed easily, and it kept you wanting to know and read more.Although it is not my style that I prefer, for those who love this genre I am sure you will not be disappointed.
