Overview

Jotto, a tiny dirt-poor boy, has little except big dreams after an elephant passes through his remote Thailand village and he is given an accidental ride. Though scorned and ridiculed by the other children and even his own family, Jotto holds steadfast to his vision of someday having an elephant of his own.

This 6600-word historical fiction, set in 1980's Thailand, is written for dreamers of all ages.

About the Author

Shine LeFlur is primarily a Chronicler of East Texas, Nacogdoches County, and especially the fictional Martins Landing rural life of the fabulous 1950's. Other Texas and USA settings garnered his attention for that same time frame.

Other tales are international in flavor: Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, and reflect 1960 to 1980 periods. Equally notable are LeFlur's fantasy yarns, most futuristic and improbable, but rarely unrealistic.
