Overview

Following up his international best-selling book, An Exorcist Tells His Story, Fr. Gabriele Amorth, the renowned chief exorcist of Rome, expands on some of the key topics of his previous book, covering important details about demonic or occult issues. He uses concrete examples from his own experiences and those of other exorcists to illustrate and substantiate his points.
Since satanic sects, occultism, séances, fortune-tellers and astrologers are so widespread today, Father Amorth asks the question why is it so difficult today to find an exorcist, or a priest who is an expert in this field? The example and the teaching of Christ is very clear, as is the tradition of the Church. But today's Catholics are often misinformed.

Exorcisms are reserved for appointed priests, while all believers can make prayers of liberation. What is the difference? What norms must be followed? What problems are still open and unresolved in this field?

The new book by Father Amorth answers these and many other questions, supporting his discourse with a rich exposition of recent facts. A valuable, practical and instructive manual for priests and lay people, on how to help many who are suffering.

What People Are Saying

James V. Schall
"Gabriele Amorth's second book is a calm, straight-forward account of his own experiences and the principles of faith that govern how he deals with demonic problems or manifestations. This book narrates the experiences of an exorcist, and it explains what must be done to meet them. Amorth is especially critical of priests and bishops, either because of a lack of faith or a lack of knowledge, who have nothing to do with real issues of the faithful. The book is not sensationalist; it is however gripping and informative. Amorth is striking in his humility and serious effort to be objective and to stay within the limits of the Church's teaching on these delicate issues."--(James V. Schall, S.J., Georgetown University)
Stephen K. Ray
"In my Protestant past, I was deeply involved with demonic deliverance ministries which thoroughly convinced me of the reality and power of Satanic forces. Having seen the failures and weaknesses of non-Catholic approaches, I am immensely impressed with the wisdom, authority, and experiences of the Catholic Church. As Catholics, we should all be deeply grateful to Fr. Gabriele Amorth for the spiritual insight and experiences he shares with us as the Chief Exorcist of Rome. He lives and shares with us the reality of the victory of Christ."--(Stephen K. Ray, Author, Upon This Rock)

Crucially Important, Practically Helpful, Timely & Deeply Fascinating

To understand the five star value of this book one has to keep in mind that the title "...More Stories" does not, in this case, imply entertaining fiction. The density of the material is closer to a theology text than a book of ghost stories, but that is as it should be. This is a serious ground breaking work, pastoral and deliverance theology of the absolute first rank. The author is the presiding expert on the subject. His authoritative testimony and documented experience CONFIRMS the reality of the supernatural. This fact alone moves the book beyond entertaining to the level of primal fascination. The author is simultaneously an erudite religious scholar, practiced "clinician," veteran spiritual warrior, and compassionate personal healer. More importantly, he is God's priest. He has directly confronted the demonic forces many times wielding the full authority of Christ granted to the Bishops and delegated to their exorcists. Fr. Amorth's books are the most complete and authoritative guidance available on the phenomenon of demonic intrusions. We are not likely to see better. Society is presently experiencing a spate of these kinds of problems and every family would do well to prepare themselves against the threat by availing themselves of Fr. Amorth's instruction.

    I Also Recommend:

    Great, needs eBook availability

Gabriele Amorth highlights the withering rites of exorcism through his own experiences with demonic possession. The books are life-changing, and provide a defense against temptation while focusing on Christ's redeeming power.

I strongly urge Barnes & Noble to produce his books in eBook form.
