I have been programming professionally for 4-years and I purchased this book for an on-line C++ course as a refresher. I enjoyed reading this book, it is defiantly for beginners. What I enjoyed most: I enjoyed the "under the hood" topics. I enjoyed reading about how the C++ compiler functions and how data is stored and transferred from the computer keyboard. I also enjoyed the .Net examples at the end of each chapter. What this book was missing: This book is nearly 1,000 pages but barely 20 pages are dedicated to coding examples. I wish the author had bothered to include more coding examples.
