One of the best of the romance genre!

I rarely read romance. I am a romantic soul and love a good exploration of a love relationship. Too often, I find romances shallow and hurried. Not the case with Anam Cara. This is a beautifully written book full of lush detail and exquisite writing. The characters are deeply real and believable. The romance doesn't appear at a snap of the fingers but grows through time and we know it could go either way. Historical aspects were woven in seamlessly. Readers may object to the young ages of one of the couples. However, that is historical fact and it would be untrue to the story otherwise. If you don't read any other romances, check out Kincaid's Anam Cara. I'll be moving on to her other books, as well. S. Murray
